Is this legit? What the hell is this sorcery. If I'm a skins qb I'm refusing to suit up 11:18 every year

Stefania Bell, the reporter who did the piece for ESPN, was on KNBR this morning. On the topic of Alex' future, she noted that despite his calm demeanor, he is the most competitive person she has ever known. The fact that no one has ever recovered from such a severe injury and played again may likely be the very reason he wants to be the first to do it. Further, the possibility of playing again was a huge factor in him being able to fight through all of the trauma and keep his leg. Without that, he may have just said "take the leg, I can't deal with all this pain," words to that effect.

THIS

"Yea, I'm good on the November 18th game coach. 2nd & 3rd string guys need to get their beaks wet at some point."
Finally got to watch Project 11...man, even though I'd heard he had 17 total surgeries, until you see how bad his leg got, it doesn't really resonate fully. I mean, Alex could've died...he came close. You could tell his Dr's were afraid for his life...they were so emotionally invested in him. I've always been a fan of Alex's...but after watching this, it's grown to new heights. This is no ordinary man...he's got toughness I've only seen in a few people. I really don't think many would've survived what Alex did. One of the turning points was when he went to San Antonio...the chance to meet with military vets, hear their stories, seemed to inspire him. It gave him some hope, seeing how the vets had not just survived, but thrived. I don't know if he'll ever play again...but he's chasing that hope. I'll be rooting for him, whether he ever plays again or not. He's got a beautiful wife & family. Their strength has helped him endure such a gruesome injury and rehab. Alex is a man's man...there's absolutely no doubt about that. Wish him and his family nothing but the best. He richly deserves that.

Crazy coincidences, although the hit came from the right side of the line, so Trent Williams being out didn't have to do with it.

Also, it was actually Kareem Jackson that caused the injury, not Watt.

The NFL should just go ahead and make sure that Washington no longer plays games on November 18th anymore.
It may be a dog and pony show and I hope it is because how could you want to play on that leg? Redskins can recoup some of his contract if he were just to retire.

Props to your boy Alex

Whether it's playing football again or not, I wish the best for him. In a perfect world he will come back and play injury free
I think it's crazy that Kap & Mahomes didn't reach out to Alex or maybe they did privately.

I'm sure they did. By all accounts they each had a good relationship with him.

He helped them both become pros and take his job.

So based on the situation, the logical assumption would be that Alex would be the bitter one, not the other two. And we all know Alex isnt wired like that. So kind of an odd thing to say.
