How can you talk about Alex Smith without talking about Kap and/or Mahomes?

I think of the time when you guys booed him at candle stick and chanted "WE WANT CARR!".

Alex has the winners mindset, just like Kap.
So Alex will be fine with or without football, just like Kap.

If Alex makes it back, that will be one of the most incredible stories in the NFL.

It would but I hope he just hangs them up. Horrific injury and hes lucky to even be walking again. Take all that money and enjoy life with the kids.

Watched the little work out video he put up taking 5 step drops. He looked so much slower, and you cant blame him for that. He needs to just hang it up and go enjoy that money. There's just no reason for him to try to comeback. Nobody would question his passion or toughness if he decided to just walk away.

I heard he almost died from his injury or almost had his leg amputated. He NEEDS to let it go and hang it up. He already has a hot wife, millions of dollars, degree in college, no need to add crippled to that list!!!

I thought he still has a ridiculously large contract. Same reason Washington won't cut him.

To repeat info from back up the thread, the interviewer from the ESPN special said he is the most competitive person she has ever met. It is that competitive spirit that kept him going through all this. He wants to be the first person to ever come back from such a serious injury. He may never play again but the desire to play again is why he still has a leg to stand on. LOL
