Guy is a machine pure and simple

I know fans gave Alex s**t back in the day when he was a Niner, but I hope he makes a successful comeback, always a well liked guy.

Wow

Respect! Hope he gets traded to San Diego er I mean chargers
Wow, Alex, great story.

Wouldn't it be cool WHEN we go to the Super Bowl this year that we happen to need 1 game backups at QB, RB, TE, LT, and LB and we get Alex, Frank, Vernon, Staley and PWilly rings. Hell, even TO looks like he can still play.

I know BY's injury was gruesome but it wasn't a compound fracture IIRC. Theisman's, on the other hand, was.

Truly amazing resolve. Alex was always one tough SOB. Nowin ran him over with a bus (remember that pic from the Photoshop thread). Gave him no protection and his shoulder got crushed. Came back to become a good QB under Harbaugh and made the Pro Bowl with KC. He took Mahomes under his wing. We can always say "what if" about Rodgers but who knows. He got to sit behind that copper-infused perv Favre. Rodgers would have been killed behind Jonas "Glassman" Jennings.

Alex, just take one snap and take a symbolic knee. Point up to the sky and walk away from the game. You've proven everything you need.

Go home and play with your kids forever.

Love this dude and his heart and drive.

Really!? Let the man try to get that ring.

In Washington? LOL

Nolan. Little man on a power trip. Lesson. Don't give men with inferiority complexes power.

Alex. I wish he'd just retire to the SD beach. He's earned it.
Wishing the best for you, Alex!
Stud. I loved this team. Professional QBing here fellas... too bad he was benched, we could have won a ring with him

I understand the competitive spirit but he's made a lot of money in the sport and doesn't need to prove anything. He's risking another injury that could cripple him for life. If he was 22 years old and had his whole career in front of him I could see it but he wouldn't have a lot of years left even if he hadn't been injured. Being cleared to play and actually playing are 2 different things. It's been sited on this forum many times how Jimmy's injury slowed him down last year. Alex had a much worse injury. How can he not be wary of getting hit.

Kap was better in the very short term, but hindsight is 20/20. Obvious decision now was to roll with Alex

Every player is wary of getting hit after an injury. They all say it takes awhile to not be aware of it every time there is contact. Like I said, I'm not sure what he has to prove. We all know he's a tough guy and he doesn't need the money. There's a good chance he won't beat out Haskins or Keenum anyway. That seems like a lot to risk for maybe 1 or 2 more seasons with a crappy team.
He cray
