Embarrassing thread.

No, it's not.

They were lucky then too, and let's face it they are no longer a FORCE of a team that they used to be because of salary cap reasons. Most likely never will be. Nothing is wrong about those statements except for your omission on the luck part from way back then.

What they do have is Wilson finally playing well enough to carry the team against 75-80% of the teams they play with good coaching and very opportunistic luck. Remember that the last few years they struggled to get to 9-10 wins, and if Wilson didn't finally have his true breakout year, they'd have been at 7-9 wins right now at most and the 49ers would be NFC West Champs.

They are a real good team. Russell Wilson is hugely underrated. He is one of the best QB's in this league and very hard to stop. Pete Carroll is one of the best football coaches there is. They are competitive year after year.

I've seen Wilson's receivers make the most incredible catches.. I give there receivers the credit over wilson..

Even that corner end zone td pass/catch that had a low % completion.. the f**king receiver made that happen.. wilson tosses the ball up and there receivers come down with the most amazing catches.

It's not wilson..

Bingo

Sorry guys, but this doesn't add up. You're saying the QB essentially has basically nothing to do with successful passing plays, which as football fans you should know isn't true.

I hate the Seahawks as much as anyone, but that doesn't mean I have to do mental gymnastics to convince myself Wilson isn't good. He's got arguably the best deep ball in the league, and is a gamer.

If you think this seahawks team is anywhere close to the legion of boom years... please pass whatever it is to the left hand side. ;)

They have the lowest margin of victory of any winning team.

Think about this.... For the season they SCORE on average about 26 points per game yet they ALLOW 24 points per game. Keep in mind they have 11 wins:

-5 wins by 4 points or less
-9 wins by 7 or less
-add one more point and that makes 10 of the 11 wins by 8 points or less. The only team they can blow out is arizona.

They are a couple field goals away from having to actually fight for a playoff spot. They have had basically everything go their way this season. Good for them but JFC if it isnt annoying as f*ck.
Keep in mind that they had to rebuild, yet they stayed competitive.
Not the legion of boom anymore? That is what you comparing them too? Lol, why don't you compare them to the best team of all time, whoever it is.
But yes, "not being the legiom of boom anymore = Seahawks suck" seems to be a real argument. Oh wait, sorry, it's luck and only luck.
at the end of the day, the Seahawks are winning most of their games. and they do that for years. that is not just luck.

It's been this way since Wilson got there. Don't get me wrong, they're a good team but also incredibly lucky. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Lol is guapo still trying to say Wilson is not good? Lmao...near 10 year obsession he has with RW is weird.

Ya the mental gymnastics are at an extreme in this thread.
Wrong thread.

Exactly

When you have your franchise QB in house you are never "rebuilding".

Lynch was pretty useless last time i saw him play. he's super slow. didn't even play much. was on the side lines a lot.

i wonder how good he'd really be.

Good thing Hundley was ballin...

Dude looked legit. Too bad nobody will give him a shot.

Liupati has a neck injury.Russ looked slow a f. Carson thier main RB has an injury and will be out for vs San Fran..
THE TABLES HAVE TURNED CHARLIE MURPHY BECAUSE NOW......

We have a Kittle.
Best case scenario: Lynch signs today, gets drug tested tomorrow, Seattle has no options on Sunday.
