I only wish they would have brought him in sooner. He's got a nonstop motor. He was PFF 11th overall DE vs the run when he played for the Lions.

All we need is for a guy to at the very least get some push on the other side. Win a couple one on ones. allow AA to play more inside on passing downs. He can do this.

What happened to Street - they've given up on him already?

They don't play the same position. Street is more of a DT... Z-man is more of a 4-3 DE, who will rush from the outside. I think Street is pushing like 290 and Z is like 270ish.

This will allow AA to play more inside in nickel (next to buck) which is better for everyone. They should have made this move once Moore got hurt IMO.

He will bring some juice to the edge. Still would have preferred Galette for the speed rush. BUT this will do.

This
Kinda like this signing.
Edge rusher with a high motor. With Ford on the bench, he may well turn out to be the team's second best edge rusher.

Just a feeling, but I really wish that they had promoted Givens up from the PS also. I just think that he's a stout, lunch pail, get-to-work kind of player that would be great in the center of the line. The better Jones replacement, if you will.

Expecting them to let Day walk in free agency while letting Taylor, Street and Givens compete for the remaining interior spots.

4 sacks this coming Sunday.

LOL. As long as he can play his gap, protect the edge, force in run defense and add a couple pressures, I'm fine with his 12 snaps or so.

TBH, with the rest of the DL, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he finds a little extra success esp. if they can move AA back inside on nickel.

Does this mean they are not confident in Dee Fords return?

No. He's already been ruled out for 2020.

I hear he lost his leg!

Dude has missed 6 games with a sore hamstring. 6 games. Meanwhile they are doing knee surgery on Duane Brown up in Seattle and they are saying he will miss 1 week. Week 17. He is ready for the playoffs. Can you imagine?

Dude shut your yap about Dee Ford's hamstring. He has a strained hamstring injury compounded with a quad injury, not a "sore hamstring". He rushed to come back for New Orleans and re-injured it. Now they're keeping him out until the playoffs to make sure its healed. You whine about this in every thread.
So was Zettel on a roster the majority of this year or was he couch surfing like the rest of us on this board?

Givens is more of a inside guy. I hope they get Taylor back soon.

He was on Cinci until week 13 or so. Only time he's had real success is with Kocurek in the wide 9.
