"Sad"? Come on, it's clearly tongue in a cheek. Just a government official having bringing a little levity to a relatively serious situation.
Tampa was 7-9 with a qb who threw 30 ints. They got talent to overcome Brady's age given he'll still likely be smart with the football.

Brady vs. Brees twice a year until one of them retires will be fun to see.

And still couldn't find a single way to produce a point in the 2nd half of the wildcard game against the Titans. Having Evans and Godwin to throw the ball to is great, but he's having to learn a new offense for the first time in his career. He will also have no real chemistry with his new receivers. Father time waits for no man, and he's got Brady in his clutches.

Brady had the best defense in the league in NE last year and still couldn't get his offense going. He needed to rely on his special teams and defensive turnovers to realistically have a chance to get in the endzone.
imo you're underestimating the talent gap between the two offenses.

Brady's top four targets last year were:
WR: Edelman - 100 rec, 1117 yards, 6 TD
WR: Dorsett - 29 rec, 397 yards, 5 TD
TE: Watson - 17 rec, 173 yards, 0 TD,
TE: LaCosse - 13 rec, 131 yards, 1 TD

Sprinkle in some partial, banged-up seasons of Josh Gordon and Mohammed Sanu. It's also worth noting that James White is a great receiving RB, and was a big part of their offense (72 rec, 645 yards, 5 TD).

Tampa had these targets last year:
WR: Godwin - 86 rec, 1333 yards, 9 TD
WR: Evans - 67 rec, 1157 yards, 8 TD
TE: Howard - 34 rec, 459 yards, 1 TD (he could explode under Brady)
TE: Brate - 36 rec, 311 yards, 4 TD (check out his 2017/2018 seasons, this guy is pretty good)

Now, arguably these numbers are a little inflated because Winston put up a lot of hollow volume stats ... I think this his new arsenal is a huge upgrade though. There's also rumblings that Brady will push for Antonio Brown (who knows if that will happen), or maybe they can work out a trade for Edelman or something.

My guess would be Tampa bay.
He plays for Tampa but Bill Belichick tried to get him to play for us in October 2017 which is why we ended up with Garoppolo instead after Kraft put the kibosh on that LOL.

That same qb threw the second most TDs last year (33) while brady threw for 24. Brady won't have Belichick either.

No but he'll have Bruce Arians who has managed to get the most out of every QB that has played for him.

You tend to throw for more td's when you're trailing by 14 after your 2nd pick 6.
Thought it was pretty hilarious to see how many Pats "fans" were seeing this following tweet and picking Gronk as one of the options...

I see 87 isn't Gronk.
