yep.

Would you guys mind explaining how? What does that even have to do with anything?

If you need to have it explained to you why losing the super bowl as the #1 seed in possibly the last time only one team will be awarded a bye week from each conference, then clearly it's a waste of time explaining it.

Uh what

A little less abrasive please. It is a perfectly fair question.

Nope. Still don't get it.

Maybe if we lost as the #2 seed your logic would make more sense, since it was the last time the #2 seeds will have a bye. #1 seed is still getting a bye under the new format.

I feel like you not wanting to explain just means you don't have an explanation.

You're right, I don't want to go into a long winded explaination as to why a seeding we got by mere inches (or less) was such a big deal when who knows if we get another #1 seed when there's only one available if the owners and league get their way.

The statement was "that's why losing the superbowl as a #1 seed this year was more painful than most realize"........which is exactly true because obviously there's people that still don't realize that we might not get that opportunity again for who knows how long.

It's gonna be tough af to get back, let alone the 1st seed (again)

We just need to get back to SB healthy and finally take care of business

I have a gut feeling we'll have a CBA by Wednesday.

They just continue to find ways to try to ruin the NFL. God I hate Goodell. He is such a clown. Why do we need all these rules changes, change of season format, change of playoff format? The game was great the way it was. Leave it alone. Leave it alone.

It's not such a bad thing that only the number one seed gets a bye week because the 49ers are so good we will be in it for the number one seed going forward for at least the next five or so years in my opinion. We have a young great defense and a young great offense that can only improve so I'm not too worried about that. It will be between us and the Saints anyway and assuming the injuries aren't too horrific, I like our chances. Especially since Tampa Bay and hopefully Carolina will be improving as well as Atlanta can always beat the Saints for us.
