Mark Maske of the Washington Post reports that the league may proceed with the playoff plan even if the CBA doesn't pass muster with players. Maske reports that NFL owners believe they don't need approval from players in order to put the new playoff structure in place.

If they're gonna do this, they need to expand the 53 man roster, otherwise injuries are going to skyrocket.

These teams travel enough, Im done with these London games. Having exhibition games in mexico and canada is great, i'm all for that, but only in the preseason.

Bc they are still getting huge ratings. They had a dip for a bit but they rebounded really well. 10 years ago everybody said all these changes to the defense and making it fantasy football friendly is gonna ruin the league. I dont like it, but it hasnt messed with ratings, people still love the NFL. So if the owners can make extra money by adding another week and two extra playoff games, they will do bc they know people will still watch.

You know what, it really is. You probably wouldn't have guessed that 10 years ago, but with all the money in FF now and the advertisement $$$ that goes along with it, it just becomes one more revenue street for the league to cash in on. It's all getting to be too much. Let's just go back to the same football we watched from the mid 80's to early 2000's.

Why have only one representative from the NFC East ? Wouldnt it be great to see two 7-9 teams duking it out in the playoffs for a SB ?
