This guy was a heck of a free agent pick up. When MM went down we would have been in trouble with just the rookie Moore stepping in.

Skule, Brunskill, Compton, McKivitz, etc...JAGs you can get by with for a game or two but that's it. You don't ever want to be in position to count on them for any extended period.

On the Deebo TD run, Compton blocked not one but two guys to seal the score.

I'm proud of him. I'm glad he's doing well as a run blocker but he's absolutely garbage as a pass protector. Didn't you see how many pressures we gave up today? This guy cost us nine points against Seattle

That's good thinking by the FO. Our usual offensive gameplan is a run:pass ratio of 5:1, so it makes sense to emphasize good run blocking skills over pass blocking.
