Connecting the dots I see...

Compton's been excellent in the run game. It's his pass pro that's been very rough. Playing next to Brunskill doesn't help at times. If it's Compton at RT from here on out, just hoping for the best and that he can improve somewhat in pass pro.
i don't remember seeing us chip the DE on pass protection, but they need to do that on every pass

Yeah, something to help out this team's right side.

Is this guy a Mcglinchey upgrade? He seems to be the same player. Great run blocker, awful pass blocker.

Also - how the hell can the same guy be the leagues best run blocker and (one of) the leagues worst pass blocker at the same time? Is there zero correlation between skill sets, or is this just a total anomaly?

PFF is using a well known marketing strategy

Get people talking about our rankings by ranking players that people do not like higher than the people they actually like. Brilliant marketing strategy but my eyes work just fine, don't need a data company telling me who's good and who's not good.

The question is do we let Williams go and give Compton the contract he deserves?

Compton was facing some low level competition compared to Williams. He was never really challenged in PP.

We won't know what we have in McGlinchy until he recovers (if he recovers) so this guy is it until one of the rookies or veterans beats him out of his job.

So far so good, he hasn't been called a lot, and the W's keep piling up while he's playing.

Good run blocker plays into Kyle's run first mentality.
Great run blocker, bad pass protection. So basically we got a 2019 version of McGlinchey, which isnt bad. Once we (if we...) hit the playoffs, im sure Shanny is going to run the s**t out of the ball, so this may work in our favor like we did in 2019. Garappolo 15 pass attempts per game and rushing 40+ times

let's be honest though, he has proven to be great depth for us...

Definitely has been quite the surprise. I thought it was over for us once we threw him in at RT. Seems like he would serve better as a RG though and Brunskill would do better as a RT. I wonder if its too late in the season to make that move. I can imagine we bring back Compton this offseason as our RG and battle it out with Banks.

Maybe, but I still think Brunskill could start there and have not much drop-off. Then RG becomes the potential concern. Banks is unknown since they give him no snaps (not a good sign though).
