Lol his signing bonus for the Jets last year was $90,000. I think we can relax.

Must be a slow news day, if this is a 7 page thread.

I'm more excited that there's something 49ers related to talk about than the signing itself.
I didn't think much of the Persons signing either, but he seemed alright up until he got injured late in the 2019 season.

Let's trust in Shanny knowing his guys...

Trust Shanahan.

You did? Tomlinson was a first round talent with a FO connection in the building who knew he was in the wrong scheme.

Even then, he's still pretty meh. LOL

We literally know nothing about how Compton will play. Just like you didn't know how Brunskill would play. Chill out. It's $500k. lol

We don't even know the details of the contract. I guarantee you he got Paraaged.

The hysteria on this board, even with minor signings like this one, is the reason why theres no toilet paper anywhere.

Who needs toilet paper, nowadays?

Only way it makes sense is if it's all incentives. Little cap hit.

...or...if he plays up to the potential of what they possibly see in camp so as to not get cut. We cant determine what a guy is worth in a uniform we haven't seen him try on yet,...over the course of a season that hasn't been played it.

If he's not worth it,...he's axed.

Yup

So bad, he wasn't even added to the top banner of the WZ.

Yeah once we see the cap hit this yr I think we're see some savings.

But comparing a 1st rd pick to a 6th rd pick on his 6th team in 6 yrs is meh. I don't think he's magically gonna be good.

Probably planning to cut this dude soon if the draft goes well. If not , depth?

Let's hope that's the plan AND we get a quality G.

We have been banging our dicks against the wall for so many years requesting inside line help and we have gotten absolute s**t. Richburg is a great pass protector but he's always injured. Tomlinson got better this year so I will give him that he should stay a starter but our right guard come on man. We better trade the 31st pick for Odell Beckham Jr. trade down from the 13 spot into the 20s and hopefully get Ruiz who can play center or guard. That is the way we have to go at this point
