It doesn't look like Hyder will be back, which sucks. I think he's a better pass rusher than Ebukam from what I've seen. His agent must be asking for big money.

Considering his age and that he primarily excels in the wide-nine defense the market might not be that great for him

They are apple and oranges. They want more speed. Which Hyder does not provide. 40 yard times 4.5 Samson, 5.1 Hyder. Speed kills in wide 9. Still would be nice to have depth and get Hyder back. Last year people saw Hyder as just a depth piece, but he had his best year. Maybe the same if not better with Samson. As far as Arik, they should just let him play inside.

hyder > blair go up to 8. or 14 two years. do it. he will be the best depth 3 or 4 edge in the league. Willis too small jordan too beat up.

I can see Hyder leaving for more $$$, and that's kind of sad because he seems to do well when he's paired with Kocurek. Maioco's article says he goes to the Jets. I can see that happening, but I can also see his production tank if he leaves Kocurek.

Jets just got Carl Lawson from the Bengals. So Hyder would be a nice pairing on the opposite side of him.

The better career move is to float as number three behind Bosa and whoever else we wind up starting on the other side. Not so much wear and tear different looks on different sides will maximize his production. Plus who else does wide 9? Nobody

Ebukam isn't really a speed rusher. I'm going through his film, and his go-to rush is a bullrush. In fact, I haven't found a single rep through a 3 games of him beating a tackle at the top of the arc with speed. Everything is power or clean up(effort/coverage sack).

Because its been discussed ad nauseum. Anyone talking about AA's rising cap figure at this point WANTS to be upset and likely wants others to be upset with them.

Have we heard anything about Hyder? I haven't heard a peep about whether the Niners are trying to re-sign him or if any other teams are looking into signing him. Other than the Niners it seems like the Jets would be a place he would go beause of Saleh but they just signed Larson and gave him $15 Million a year. I really hope the Seahawks don't sign him.

Agree. Hyder with his 8+ sacks is going to get his payday from somebody. I don't think it's ShanaLynch because they just got Trent and probably will go into the draft for some edge rusher depth. Alex Mack or another good center should be their next target vs Hyder (who I really like as a player by the way, I just think he'll be too expensive for the 49ers).
