It takes two to tango, it seems like Hyder & K'Waun haven't had anything, same for most of the WRs(JuJu, Golladay, Samuel, Watkins, Hilton), also CBs like Sherm, King, and others. Crazy that Witherspoon & Thomas get deals before Hyder & K'Waun do.

They are but if we spend money at the edge I think we might be less likely to double down on a DE.

His play has declined quite a bit over the las 2 seasons. However, if the price is right it would be a good move.

He can still start or at the very least be a situational pass rush. He's been incredibly healthy for how long he's been in the league.

Yea Kerrigan is more of a name than anything. Got 5 sacks in limited time last year tho. I wouldn't even pay him much.

I see it differently. Hyder is definitely 1st & 2nd down and if he could potentially play inside on 3rd, you have someone that will allow them to move on from AA. If they draft edge, I see them drafting a Dee Ford type. Ekuban is a rotational guy. Willis is also but may be an inactive. Could draft a speedy edge then a 2i later to ultimately replace DJ Jones.

If the Niners could somehow re-sign Hyder and also K. Williams (he's just a playmaker as a slot CB), I'd be ecstatic!

Question may be if we target a pass rusher on day 1 or 2, is it necessary to also resign Hyder? Hyder would eat into a rookie's snap count.

We may be better off drafting EDGE within the first 3 rounds paired with resigning Willis. Otherwise, if Hyder is willing, we could sign him to the mid-level exception (~$2-3M salary, but only costs us $900k).
