On a serious note, I'm glad he got paid. He did a good job here but his numbers did not really impact the outcome to any large degree.

I think Kocurek can bring out the best in Willis...he showed flashes of what he can do in limited action last year. He's got the quicks & strength to be effective, just needs to be more consistent. Hate to see Hyder go to Seattle, but that's what they do. Can't keep all the top FA's...some are bound to go elsewhere.

There are guys with better track records than Hyder. He had a great year on a contract year. I doubt the Niners were offering him that type of contract. They haven't handed out too many multi year deals this off season unless the guy is a stud. He might make McGlinchey look bad but that isn't hard to do nowadays. Trent gots him on lock. So I'm not sweating this loss.

Agree, Norton is the DC and doesn't employ the wide 9, so his production might take a hit because of that. As for coaching, cheat carroll is a good Defensive coach and I think he will do well in seadderall, but not as well as he would have done here with the wide 9.
