The Ebukam signing should've tipped everyone off that we weren't paying Hyder. He was really good for us, but he had 10 career sacks in 5 seasons before last season. Not sure one good year is worth the risk of giving him what Seattle did.
Hopefully we wont need him this year with the DL healthy again. Still plenty of good edge rushers available.

Agree, Norton is the DC and doesn't employ the wide 9, so his production might take a hit because of that. As for coaching, cheat carroll is a good Defensive coach and I think he will do well in seadderall, but not as well as he would have done here with the wide 9.

And he was in the production role in the Niners defense, Bosa's spot is made to produce. Let's see how he does when the whole defense is not built to make him look good.

What is going on?
Wonder if we had an offer for Hyder but he was chasing more bucks, and when we came to terms with Kerr the offer came off the table so he signed with the Seahawks? Lots of speculation obviously but it just seems like a low contact number... like his timing stinks and he lost a game of musical chairs.
