With Bosa back and Niners signing Samson, Hyder would have been #3 on the depth chart at DE. So basically he would not have even been a starter in 2021. Niners were probally not offering him starting money. With the Seahawks he would be their #1 DE.

That would suck. There are an abnormal amount of Edge players available in FA to reach for one in the draft.

There are about 5 Edge's in the draft in rounds 1-3 that I prefer to Hyder, but I thank him for his service during a difficult year.

If it's any consolation, he was a nobody before last year and even considering last year, only 49ers fans know his name or who he is.

I see a regression to the mean...especially since he doesn't have the defensive line guru in Kris Koucerek to coach him up. That guy makes everyone on our line look better (minus Solomon Thomas, he's not a magician). Don't envision we see the same Hyder as last year.

Yeah I think Armstead and Bosa are base down DEs with Samson in at SLB and then on passing downs, Armstead slides inside with Kinlaw, and Samson comes in as pass rusher on the other end. Hyder would of been a rotational guy and the first-man-up if Armstead or Bosa get hurt

I think our FO was offering something like $3M/year because they have their eye on someone in the draft

wonder why our fan base has to run to trash one of our players the minute he signs elsewhere. we had no pass rush without this guy last year. bosa is a question mark. if you guys are hanging your hats on ford. well that is just foolish. this is a bad loss. i wonder if lynch even tried to sign him.. or is lynch hoping ford and bosa will be ok? and of course we always will have aa jammed down our throats. better reach out to aldon smith or someone to get in here and rush the passer. even if the draft is poor in elite rushers. the team needs to address this,.

you have not heard todays news.. ford was a nice guy and saved us some money so automatically that means he can be counted on. bosa is a question mark. i would like to know if we even reached out or what is the plan for a pass rush to cover up a secondary that has issues
