Dude was useless with the Cowboys and he will be useless with the Seahawks. Without Kocurek and the wide 9 formation he is irrelevant.
Good for him he is getting some money but he won't do anything in Seattle.

Good get by the seahawks. Hyder looked really good this past year. He was a pleasant surprise though so this doesn't really feel like a loss. It is the fact that it is always the Seahawks who sign our guys. It is really annoying at this point. Most of the time they are nothing special. But I think they got a good player this time.

Hopefully he goes back to sucking just as he did in Dallas

This should make edge rushers want to come to SF, play for a yr ball out, go get paid...rinse and repeat.

bad for us. Damn Seahawks! ????
Sooo....how's he looked when Kocurek WASN'T his coach? He better play on the left side to even have a chance against us.
He had 8 sacks, In his only other season with a high snap count.
With Coach Kocurek. Not saying I expect him to fall off a cliff but how does one explain virtually nothing all the other years? They aren't just going to give you minimal snaps if you are an 8 sack guy. Either way, we better get RT shored up.

They are all reach at 12, IMO. Better to sign one of the proven FA guys.

Nice deal for Hyder-also understand if the Niners did not want to pay that much.

3 yrs 17.8. What was our offer?
I think the real number was 2 yr 6.5 deal. Third year voids.
Hyder was a feasible edge guy. I guess FO didn't value him.
Now, he's going to prove FO wrong twice a year
Wait. How do we go from 2 year 6.5 to 3 year 17?

Congrats to Kerry. Played his butt off, and now gets some millions for the family.

The fact that Saleh didn't make a big play for him should say a lot. I think they both knew not to shell out too much money for a guy who performed highly for one year

This. It's in my post.
Deal with Hyder is 2 years/$6.5 million with a $10 million base salary that voids in year three, per PFT report. Really good deal for the Seahawks it would seem. https://t.co/GdnEHFN15n

Kerry hyder was nice little gem after all our injuries last year. But kinda disappeared during tough games And at time looked a little small and overpowered by some bigger tackles. Congrats to him though on getting paid. Too bad it's with the damn seahawks..
