Haha, yes. A little P&H on Thursday is where it's at
Now we just signing nobodys . Hmm why are we signing 4 DT nobody's that don't make an impact when we need a Edge Rusher. We always sign these kind of players. There was a reason we let him walk in the first place. When are we going after a impact player this off-season

This was a must sign for me because it basically kept our edge pass rushers at the same level...and we had a good playoff caliber DL last year.

Our biggest question is whether losing Jones can be offset or improved by Kinlaw

True. He had 8.5 WITHOUT Bosa Thomas or Ford. He was getting almost all the attention as a pass rusher bc AA wasn't performing well either.

Best signing of our off-season so far, especially at the price.

Glad to have him back - who says that we haven't signed any FA's?

Yup. He also didn't have AA inside. If we get 2020 Kerry Hyder and have good health, the 2022 D-line will be the best of the Shanahan era. Bosa 2022 > Bosa 2019, Kerry Hyder will be more avaialble than Dee Ford, and we won't be nearly as weak as the run. Just need to add the speed edge guy, some some DB help, and O-line.

nice depth piece...still need starter players and a guy opposite Bosa. IF Bosa goes down for any time, our DEs are Hyder/Willis/Ebukam

IMO this doesn't change drafting a EDGE at 61. Only guy we have signed past this yr is Bosa

Lol
Love these off season signings. Hyder played great foe Niners and so so for other teams. Low risk high return signing. Hope Kinlaw can stay healthy but Hyder is legit .

Jeff Wikson Dontae Johnson Hyder can step I. And okay because they know the play book.
Very good depth piece. Can play both DE spots and DT on passing downs. I hope we draft a talented EDGE rusher in rd 2 though....

Our pass rush was STRONG at the end of the season with this approach. It's Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, and Pass Rush by Committee. The strength of signing all these supposed "nobody's" is that, yes, while they're not Von Millers, we have a rotation of guys that are fresh when they rush the passer. In my opinion, our pass rush in the 2021 playoffs was stronger than the 2012 playoffs that featured Justin Smith and Aldon Smith---those two were already gassed out by playoffs because Fangio rarely subs his guys out.

But I do generally agree that hopefully we can upgrade at Edge Rusher. Just pointing out that these modest signings aren't terrible signings.

A great O-Line guy won't be there lol. You have a much better chance of getting lucky on a talented edge rusher in rd 2 than a talented offensive lineman though we did miss a rare shot to get a pro bowl OL in rd 2 last year with Humphrey from Oklahoma being there but we took Aaron Banks ☹️😖

I think we can get a speed guy in the 2nd. Add O-line on back to back picks or 3rd and 4th. Use the other 3rd on a safety.
