Originally posted by ForeverYoung8:i cant see a scenario where they play this year Even if they get a vaccine by fall, they'll still need time to administer it to the general population. Then we'll be in the stands worrying if the dude next to you/me got the vaccine or not. To much grey area for this year. I'm usually not so pessimistic, but im not seeing a way to play any sports this year. Games without fans isn't going to work either imo that'd be huge loss in revenue for all home teams
Games without fans but still getting TV revenue >>>>> no revenue at all.
They'll play without fans if they can

Governor Newsom reaffirmed today that until a "treatment" has been developed and tested for the virus, there will be no mass gathering events. If that holds, there will be no NFL this fall with fans.
I can tolerate games without fans. I just want the game back but safety above all..
The NFL can consult the Cheathawks on pumping in crowd noise.

Two teams tell @AlbertBreer that playing without fans could mean clubs lose $100 million apiece. So would they rather start in November with fans than September without?

Possibly the lone positive impact on the 2020 season because of Covid-19.

just because they announce a season doesn't mean it is going to start. I want a season as much as any of you but a lot will be dependent on infection rates and fatalities.
IF the lockdown restrictions being lifted are premature and you see a spike in new infections then kiss the NFL season goodbye. Be careful what you wish for.
