Will the 2020 NFL season be canceled due to COVID19?

Titans must've done something really stupid AF. More players keep coming up with corona.
Another positive on NE too. They cancelled practice. The coaches on the sideline need to start wearing those masks. They don't set a good example when the constantly have the mask around their neck like Gruden did the whole game or dangling from their ear. I don't really see how it will make much difference as far as keeping the virus from spreading since none of the players all around them need to wear them. The point is, if NFL says they should and they don't follow the rules, why would they think that some of the players aren't going to do the same. As we've seen with the Titans, it doesn't take much for this to get out of control.
The thing about COVID is not everyone shows positive results at the same time when exposed. Gilmore probably got it from Cam, but it took a few days for the test to come back positive. As soon as one player shows a positive result, you have to assume that players need 48hours to a week to reliably show a positive or negative result. That's why doctors ask people to stay home and quarantine when exposed. Of course the NFL isn't going to wait that long, so good luck to the players out there.
There are photos all over of Gilmore hugging Mahommes and Hardman post game.....this could be just getting started.

That's exactly what is happening in the White House as well. It would be nice if they knew it was exactly 3 days or 5 days but it can vary. I don't know if they are using the rapid tests in the NFL that they were using in the WH but if they are, that's another problem. Those uncomfortable nasal swabs are the most accurate at this point and they have to be shoved nearly into your brain.

I was thinking that if the Niners had an outbreak like the Titans along with all their injuries, they wouldn't be able to field a team.
In a few more days, the NFL is going to have TV all to themselves. MLB, NBA, WNBA, tennis grand slams and NASCAR will all be over. NHL just ended. With that much exposure the ratings are sure to go up so the league will do everything possible to keep the season alive. They should impose bigger fines and start taking draft picks away from teams like Tennessee that violate the rules.
I also find it damn near miraculous that all 3 of the Florida teams remain in the clear, so far. *knock on wood*

Our stupid governor just gave the Dolphins the green light to allow FULL capacity for the home games. Oh boy...

uhh..
It appears that the Titans may have continued to hold offsite team workouts while they were barred from their facilities due to the outbreak. I've heard that they may have to forfeit their game against the Bills, though that still seems a bit extreme due to the fact it would be the first forfeit in NFL history.

I read yesterday the NBA finals were down 47% in viewership. That's huge. NFL is down a ton also. Multiple reasons for all that; activism turned off some fans, virus concerns have people's mind on other things, the match-up of bad teams, all of the above. The bottom line is ratings are down and eventually that will hit ad revenue and everything that follows cash flow.

When you have MLB, NBA, NHL, Nascar, tennis, golf and the NFL all going on at once, there is no way that any of those sports is going to dominate and get high ratings. Even though the NFL is the most popular sport, They were competing with NBA, MLB and NHL seasons and playoffs. Let's see what happens now that they are all over or almost over. Don't forget, the virus, unemployment, wildfires, floods and hurricanes have all been major distractions this year. Oh yah, the election too. Way too many things on people's mind.

Also the games feel a little flatter without fans in the stands.
God damn Titans.
