Just shut it down already. It is inevitable.

I don't think so.

People are too selfish and stupid in this country to do the right thing.

Yep. It can't be done safely like basketball and hockey. They need to shut this s**t down.

At this point I'd rather this country be stupid and continue with football. There are so many dumb ass people and events and other things going on to continue to contribute to the spread. If everything was going right around the country and football was the only thing putting us at risk I'd be like f**k football shut it down. The fact is people are breaking Covid recommendations all around this country so don't take my football!!

In a few more days, the NFL is going to have TV all to themselves. MLB, NBA, WNBA, tennis grand slams and NASCAR will all be over. NHL just ended. With that much exposure the ratings are sure to go up so the league will do everything possible to keep the season alive. They should impose bigger fines and start taking draft picks away from teams like Tennessee that violate the rules.

I read yesterday the NBA finals were down 47% in viewership. That's huge. NFL is down a ton also. Multiple reasons for all that; activism turned off some fans, virus concerns have people's mind on other things, the match-up of bad teams, all of the above. The bottom line is ratings are down and eventually that will hit ad revenue and everything that follows cash flow.

Also the games feel a little flatter without fans in the stands.
true
Tennessee should have their game forfeited for their incompetence. not fair to other teams.

Agrew
I'm openly cheering for a Covid cancellation
What's the rationale for teams only in Buffalo and San Fran to have to wear masks if not on the field?

I'd like to play Seattle first. If we lose then yes haha cancel.

LOL
I'm pleasantly surprised that the NFL has done this well once they actually started playing. Other than the Titans the other teams have done pretty well so far. I still think the league is really concerned because they still have sideline personnel violating protocol and have threatened fines and loss of draft picks if they don't start adhering to the rules. The virus is on the rise again and reaching record levels in some places, so they can't let their guard down.
The sad thing about the Titans is that it doesn't just affect them. It affects 31 other teams and the season , ultimately. Whatever penalty they get is well deserved. Thing is to get a full 16 games, or even the previously mentioned 12 games in (assuming things go to hell in a hand basket), a team like the Titans just screws everyone. It's hard enough if everyone follows the rules. When some knucklehead team doesn't, then that just hoses down all other 31 teams, and makes the season less likely to finish.

As for masks on the sideline, why is that not for all coaches, including assistants, in that a number have been on TV with no masks. What are they thinking...that only the HC can cause viral spread?

Looks to me like the season is hanging in the balance. Maybe the NFL should call a time out and then resume the season in a while.
Jets was another false positive. Without fans or limited attendance you think the league cares about moving games around a day or 2? No. Things are going fine minus what happened in Ten.
