Seriously though, Dana walked into a similar situation (in a sense) that Kinlaw is walking into right now. The year before Dana was drafted, the team went 14-2, and Dana played next to Michael Carter, Dennis Brown and Ted Washington when Dana was a rookie, so the Dana Stubblefield comparison has some similarities to Kinlaw's situation.
Lol you're obviously joking but yea,...Stubb was seriously overlooked by alot of teams. We drafted him and Todd Kelly back to back IIRC, right? So sometimes you just get lucky when it comes to the draft,...let's be honest.
Agree, 49ers got lucky with Bosa, who plays next to Kinlaw. I think that combo could result in a similar situation to the Smith Brothers. Cowboy ate up the double teams to free Aldon. Like THL said, if Kinlaw can bull rush and draw doubles, and perfect the Cowboy method of holding the OLinemen to free up Bosa technique, it's going to be the NY Sack exchange revisited (Joe Klecko/Mark Gastineau duo). At least I hope so.
Fun tidbit: All four members of the Sack Exchange were drafted by the Jets in the 1970s. Salaam, a defensive tackle, was drafted in the 7th round (188th overall) by the Jets in 1976. Klecko, a defensive end, was a 6th round pick (144th overall) in 1977. Lyons, a defensive tackle, was a first round pick (14th overall) in 1979, while Gastineau, a defensive end, was selected with the Jets' second round selection in that draft (41st overall) -- their draft order was somewhat similar to our defensive line with Bosa, Ford, Kinlaw, and (Solomon/Arik/DJ Jones).
