Anyone expecting instant greatness from him didn't really do their homework during the draft process imo.
FWIW it was the 14th pick
When you get spoiled by so many instant impacts the past few drafts it's gonna be rough having another AA kinda prospect. But I have been keeping my expectations low for Kinlaw I think I had him at 2.5 sacks this year. Anything more than that I'd be thrilled
I'm not interested in sacks from him. We sucked against the run and he just needs to focus on shutting the run down.
Buck was in the top 10 as far as run defense for interior linemen. I think the weakness against the run is just a product of the wide 9 defense which is pretty well documented.

If Kinlaw can play with consistent pad level, all he'll need is a good bull rush. Not saying they are comparable, but Justin Smith only had one move and it served him well when combined with strength and motor, two things Kinlaw is known for. Justin complemented Aldon Smith on their stunts and games. I can see Kinlaw complimenting Bosa in a similar manner while Armstead and Ford work the other side of the line.
Those that have watched Kinlaw's college tape, how is his getoff? Consistently good? Inconsistently good? Average?

Link. I don't disagree about the scheme but not sure where you're finding top 10 run defenders for interior lineman. I found the top 5 and he wasn't on that list

The college highlights I saw looked pretty good. I can't wait to see those tackle end stunts with Bosa against Seadderall and the Tardinals.

Even if you are joking, the fact that you can call a player that hasnt played a game Balmer at the same time that you come at me and stan for Solomon Thomas is absolutely laughable.
