It would be idiotic to call a guy who seemed to impress at training camp, a bust when he hasn't played a single down.

Wow. They kept AA and trade Buckner so they can draft Kinlaw.

They let Sanders go, who they spent a 3rd and 4th round pick on, and used that money to keep Ward and they trade up to select Aiyuk, who is injured.

They need to put the revenge tour on hold until 2021 so they can regroup.

Aren't most guys expected back week 1?

My biggest worry is interior o-line. I think without Richburg we will be getting blown up inside a bit.

More so in weeks 2 and 3. We might get bu in week 1 unless they move Jones inside.
TBF, he's not ready. Not many rookies are with no off season and coming in to the league very raw. This is why MM warned you he'd only be a 2-down DL.

Right, anyone calling a rookie a bust that hasn't played a down in the NFL is a 🤡.

The rational fans knew he was raw coming out, needed to be developed and that the shortened offseason would hurt him. Everything is literally going as planned.

- no rookies this year had OTAs and minicamps, so therefore no rookies in the nfl are ready

- mm said that in part because our dline is already stout, he doesn't need to come in and dominate for us to win

- he definitely needs time to mature and develop

- struggles in his first ever nfl practices do not equate to a bust label or is even cause for concern.

Seriously, can we hold off for a season or two?

Damn, already? He hasn't played an official NFL down yet. And we're already labeling him a bust? I know the camp reports on him aren't looking good, but lets see him actually play first. Remember, Solomon Thomas was an interior guy drafted to be an edge rusher and people labeled him a bust. But when sen playing on the inside he looked far better. Maybe the coaches are asking him to do things outside of his skills. Not saying that's whats going on, but he was a seriously dominant force at South Carolina, against NFL caliber guys. From what I read Kris Kocurek (who's roundly respected around the league as a DL savant) really coveted him. So I gotta trust that Kinlaw will develop the way they thought when they drafted him. The guy just got her; give him time.
If Kinlaw isn't very good at the beginning. I do not expect that to last.

His history is that he works very hard and pushes himself. I'm sure almost all NFL players do that, hence the reason they are in the NFL. but everywhere he's been, he's come in under the Radar then worked up.

I think he will be fine, but if we are expecting him to make an impact like Bosa did last year we will be waiting a while.

The crying in here without a single snap actually played is epic. We deserve all the s**t articles on the front page.

I barley see any posts that are negative most still seem patient and hopeful. Seems like 75% of posts are people "crying" about the few that are subjective. I still believe in Kinlaw's potential but I do question if it was the right move to draft a developmental DT with a top 15 pick in a championship window when we have already have solid depth at that position. Remember when we had that 3-4 yr championship run with Harbaugh then bam we lost Willis, Bowman, Aldon, Borland, Ian Williams and Ray McDonald out of no where with Cowboy and Ahmad Brooks retiring. We still might be a competitive playoff team down the road but don't expect us to be legit Super Bowl contender for the next 5 years unless Garoppolo suddenly turns into drew brees

All true. And to be a 3 down player, in on nickel more, he'll need to learn much more than a bull rush so naturally, he's going to be a run defender and pocket pusher to start on those early 2 downs.
I don't wanna get called a clown or anything but Rashan Gary is a f**king bust.
I'm hoping this is more like Bosa not getting too worked up because he's coming off an injury, then like Solly not being ready for a newb position in the pros.
