Imagine if the Niners would have drafted both Lamb and Aiyuk?

Deebo, Lamb, and Aiyuk as your top 3 receivers with Kittle at TE and that elite running game. The offense would be unstoppable.

Lol that's not true at all. It's often said that other than QB, WR is the next position that is hardest to adjust. Year 3 is typically the magic number for WRs. DT is one of the easiest to adjust. I'll likely get pissed and overreact because I wanted Jeudy or Lamb in that spot, but like NY mentioned above, if Aiyuk balls out I'll be alright

It really depends on what kind of system a team is playing and what they are asking the player to do. Some offense aren't very sophisticated and don't ask the receiver to do much more than run his pattern. Others want more blocking and have more sophisticated routes. It also depends on how ready the player is out of college. In this case Kinlaw was known to be a project while Jeudty and Lamb were highly productive. I would say that O line might be the toughest other than QB since the blocking techniques are so different at most colleges. It's why it's getting harder to find quality O linemen every year.

I still can hear the 2nd guessers complaining if Kinlaw struggles his first year while the receivers flourish. That's the nature of the impatient fans.

100%. My exact developmental comp.

Chris Jones is my developmental comp...Kin is 30Lbs bigger than AA (and 2 inches shorter). His arms are almost 2 inches longer as well. Just based on tape, athletically Jones and Kin are very comparable.

Kin might not be a day one elite pass rusher...he most certainly is gonna demand multiple blockers, not got moved around (Buck had issues with that), and will at the very least push that pocket yr 1.

Sky high ceiling with a high floor as well.

We're talking about developmental path like AA. So, two years before we start to see it all come together but consistent flashes along the way to raise your eyebrows to remind you.

Yeah I was talking about developmental path, not skillet. I don't know much about Chris Jones except that he can bat down passes.
Give the man the decency to have the chance to fail and learn from it and get better before we start lamenting his selection. f**k me, people.

His dick flopped out during his 40 yard dash and was offered a porn contract

Seems like he's headed for the inactive list on game days.

Chris Jones was raw as s**t coming out of Mississippi State. He was a uber athlete for his size (similar size to Kin, Javon is actually a little bigger). Jones had issues with pad level and technique his rookie yr (and in college)...he still had his moments, and was a beast of a man in the middle...he helped Ford get more one on ones to get his first double digit sack season.

Jones came into his own his 3rd yr and had like 16 sacks and 30 QB hits. Top 5 DT in the league now imo.

It's tough for me to compare Kin's development path to AA because AA was hurt for like 3 yrs

Agreed. The only thing really negative about Kinlaw is hand placement. He plays with good pad level most of the time already.

Kinlaw year 2 will be a top 5-10 DT

Yup agreed, he's gonna have to build on his pass rush plan...I think his bullrush will be much more effective on game days as well.

I'm just looking for improvement as the season goes, help create havoc in the middle in regards to run D, and work on the hands.

DJ Jones is gonna ball out this yr imo.
