Looks like a dude who can't finish plays
Yasupizu...why don't you look at some film before making a totally erroneous comment like this. Go look, there's some nice film earlier in this thread but do yourself a favor and look Kinlaw up on utube before making a comment that is just flat out incredibly wrong. Baldinger pointed out in one clip how this dude ran top speed downfield after a guy DBs were trying to catch. You just don't see that kind of effort from a 325 lb DT. The last thing he would ever be accused of is "not finishing."
Suggestion: read first, get an education about the guy, and then post. Study his films an you come away wiht an entirely different picture...and certainly a different opinion.
This x1000
Having watched a lot of tape on the guy, I assume they mean he gets penetration but does not always effect the play.
If they watched the Alabama game, Bama let the dude explode up field several times, just to allow himself to be taken out of the play. It was not a great year for Bama's line, but Kinlaw did his part to stand out.
IF you are fully educated on Kinlaw, at the end of the day....we are talking about a 30 tackle 6 sack guy. He has lots of NEAR tackles and some NEAR sacks, but again that just points towards the above post.....he almost finished.
There is reason to believe that Kinlaw can be a better pro then college player on the 49ers. He will have more 1 on 1 contests on the 49ers then he could have ever gotten at SC. Lets hope he is a Pro's Pro, and works his tail off. He has gobs of potential.
I would have went O-line with Wirfs sitting there....but if he is healthy Kinlaw can do some stuff Defo could not do. This was a very solid draft pick.
