Not at all esp. if he can stay healthy. That's the beauty of the draft. There are actually several scenarios of right and wrong choices most likely.

Not when it comes to drafting a Punter in the 4th round. It's always wrong then

There's STILL people here that think Wish in the 4th was a good move lol

meanwhile currently some of the best IOL are

Wyatt Teller- 5th rd pick
Shaq Mason-4th rd pick
Joe Thuney-3rd rd pick
Michael Onwenu-6th rd pick (playing OT as well)

I got no problem developing and spending some picks on IOL. Saying IOL is more important than DT and saying DT literally has ZERO impact in the pass rush is comical. I mean we're really really trying hard here.

Still can't believe Teller was traded for peanuts

Man I wanted him. He showed up at the senior bowl...total Shanny type OG.

Yeah, he's a C. He'd be a C for us. Not a RG like there.

Is it comical that you interpreted the bold that way.

Ahhh and you're the one that said we can just move anyone around to play another spot on the OL lol? Now it's because he played RG? What are we doing here dude?

How else should I interpret this? This is what you said...

its that they have next to zero impact in a passing league

But yes IOL pass-pro is so damn important lol. oxymoron

That rookie had RG experience at UM and spent a load of time taking RG snaps this entire off-season knowing he might be the RG. It's not like RG is a foreign position to Ruiz.

That's debatable and an assumption.

The guy who would start at center would be the guy Kyle has the most trust in. Not a given that it would be Ruiz.

Fair on both accounts but let's be real. Had Kyle drafted him, he'd be a C whether he wanted to be or not. LOL #Injuries

No, I previously explained the differences in systems already. Yes, because of the profile it takes to run an IZ/OZ system, it is easier to play multiple positions like Brunskill. But like with McGlinchey, I'm sure he could play G but like with Ruiz, I wouldn't prefer it. In the Saints system, I didn't think that was the best move but they're just stacking talent. I still wouldn't prefer it (but get it).

Yes, I'm talking about run defenders. The mass majority of these dime a dozen DT's are going to be run defenders. But because of the natural rotation of 10+ DL, there's going to be opportunities for run defenders like D.J. Jones, Street, Givens, Kinlaw, etc. to still get plenty of chances to pass rush too...and find some success because of their athleticism compared to OL.

Wouldn't prefer what? Ruiz moving from center to RG? What makes you think McG could play guard? He's 6-7 and clearly has issues with power. I'm sure he would do much better vs 300+ LBs vs 260 DEs lol.

Nah you said DT has next to no impacting in a passing league and yet want to prioritize IOL because of pass-protection

Yall in here arguing about absolutley nothing. Moving players we don't even have to every position on the o line

It's all good. You're a solid debater but there's often a disconnect on your interpretations of others points it seems. No biggie.
