Maybe Kinlaw will break out next year, he is big and fast, but not productive.
So far he's not been worth the #14 pick

Here's to hoping Kinlaw has a monster year next year. We better not be drafting DL early anytime soon, unless it's a DE to play opposite Bosa, interior DL we're set for now, and can find good rotational guys in the mid rounds or in FA.

Yeah, I like both Kinlaw and Givens but this just shows you you're getting just as much production with Street and Jones. Throw in Daniels and AA inside.
They have 68 yards rushing at halftime. 32 from Murray.
Now if Givens and Kinlaw beef up their pass rush, now we're talking.

The thing about DTs historically is that they take time to learn the tricks of the trade. It's hard and dirty work in there. Kinlaw has shown enough to think that real progression is a possibility but he will have to progress to make the pick worthwhile

Lol it really is...kin is a rookie.
I could throw down a s**t ton of mid rd/UDFA OL (especially IOL)players that have or are playing very well.
Got a narrative to push...we all know lol, it's not a secret

For the millionth time can we raise a generation of football fans to understand lineman take 2 to 3 years to really hit thier stride?
There is no Boom or bust in the first year for Kinlaw.

Already a better rookie year than that of Buckner. But this website has a blind spot for Buckner. Afraid to say it.

Bwahahaha.
Yup, my narrative was you don't need to spend a top 15 pick on a DT unless his primary skill set is pass rush as you can pretty much plug in any run defenders on the interior and get really good production from guys like Jones, Daniels, AA, Givens, Street, etc. under Kocurek and that's exactly what happened with no Kinlaw or Givens and against a really good RB and mobile QB.
Kinlaw was a luxury pick and one we hope he can do better against double teams and learn how to become a really good pass rusher. Maybe even become a 3 down DT. Right now he has too much time on Twitter.
Too funny. How's that current philosophy working for the OL? On QB3.
