Well I think if Kinlaw can play DB, he's that much better than Buckner. I mean stat-wise he's a better DB than K'Waun. Maybe that's why K'waun hasn't been signed yet, maybe shanalynch will try Kinlaw at Kwaun's spot.
Kinlaw can be as good as he wants to be. He's the most talented interior DL in the league. The dude literally has zero physical limitations. It's the technical and mental stuff that he's lacking.

They have a s**tload of interior depth esp. if AA plays more inside. We didn't draft this dude for 500 of the 1K snaps a season. Let this kid grow...sink or swim, young man.

Google is incredible. I had never heard of the song that Kin was working out to from Hero's post. Took less than 5 minutes to ID it using google. Trash song. GUTTER.

Side note, I feel bad for the 30 and under hip hop heads that post here. This generation of music is pretty bad. Nothing like the 90s and early 00s.

For example:

That's my "Get off my lawn" moment.

Lmao ibremember this song!

Almum was decent

New LP is raw

Just one thing I didn't see busy legs on him. That's my only concern as far as kinlaw reaching pro bowl status. I don't see the busy churn below the waist snap to snap. Hands are good strength good stamina good. I'm thinking he might need to drop some weight into 300s.

The new guy has churn.

That could be attributed to lack of technique and being able to overpower people with brute strength up until this point. I have no doubt this can be fixed.

Off the ball he bends at the knees which shows natural ability but he quickly rises up after initial contact. I think more reps and experience can fix this.
Yep. Is this kind of behavior trainable? It seems pretty neural. You have twitch or not. He's such a massive guy maybe losing a few pounds can get him some extra steps per snap.

My reaction is that DaBeegDeek is right. The lazy way can win when you are physically dominant but old habits die hard. Getting someone to keep their feet moving a lot is difficult to do in general, but keeping a better stance after contact is certainly doable. Unless you have an athlete really in tune with their body though it is extremely hard to do in-season. He can practice over and over in the offseason stacking good rep after good rep to start breaking the old habits and becoming comfortable in the new position, but the game in general will have to slow down for him so he can make conscious decisions to alter his movement in the moment. That is why keeping a good body position is much easier to teach than keeping the feet moving. It takes continuous focus to keep feet moving when it isn't a habit but just a momentary internal que from time to time to adjust your body position. Luckily, the two are related as a better body position facilitates and often necessitates better foot movement. Really active feet probably isn't in the cards any time soon though, if ever, but it may not be all that necessary, or even useful for him. He has a lot of raw instantaneous power and good timing in application can serve much the same end as having really active feet. He just needs to maintain his body position in such a way as to always have that power potential on tap.

Not having a proper training camp and preseason really hurt rookies that need to develop technique, which described Kinlaw in the 2020 offseason. Hopefully a real camp where Kocurek can spend some real time with Kinlaw, not talking gameplan just technique, will pay off.

What does that have to do with Kinlaw wrecking fools year 2?

I still can't believe the stupid trade offer I heard made on Sirius NFL radio when they were doing their mock draft.

Had us moving up to 2 and giving up our pick, Jimmy G, Kinlaw and our 4th rounder.

sure that's all for fun but when you're getting paid to cover the NFL you shouldn't be making absolutely idiotic trades in the process.

By all accounts the transplant went well and the body did not reject the new knee.

Kinlaw could play today if this were the playoffs.
