Nick Bosa is the only guy right now that warrants that type of attention, but even he's coming off the ACL. Kinlaw was very blockable last year. We just have to wait and see if he's going to make a huge jump. AA has always been blockable one on one outside of his contract year. I'm actually excited about Ebukam. I feel like his style compliments what the other guys do very as well as a potential clean-up guy.

Completely agree on all. I still can't believe that after all this time, AA has that slow af get off. I've never seen and don't think I will ever see again a first round pick with as slow a get off as his was out of college. To his credit, I thought he would be a massive bust for mainly that reason, but he did improve it some along with other aspects in his game. IMO, Ebukams floor is what we got from Hyder last season or at least close to it.

Gonna depend on if Kocurek can work some magic. Ebukam has had a significantly better career than Hyder has when Hyder doesn't have Koceruk as his coach.

Yup agree. A lot of what Hyder did last season was from pure effort and cleaning up plays. Ebukam has more tools in that toolbox coupled with that crazy strength and a motor that always runs hot, I'm excited to see what coach K has planned for him.

Really? I thought Hyder was winning with technique more so then straight motor and hustle.

I didn't see much from Ebukam in the form of using technique when he got his pressures...he was all gas (which is good) but as far as tools in the toolbox it was just motor/hustle/coverage not pass rush moves or having a plan at all. He's pretty green as a pass rusher.

That could very well happen too. I just want to see marked growth from year 1 and an upward trajectory while keeping realistic expectations too.

Agreed, overall Covid and missed TC/OTAs stunted some of those rookies, Kin was raw coming out of SC but oozing with talent/raw ability… very similar to Jones but he actually got a legit off season as a rookie.

I expect growth but I will also be realistic.

Agreed.

Maybe I didn't use my words the way that I intended. I don't think Ebukam has better pass rushing "technique" than Hyder let alone rushing with a plan, as you said he is very green as a pass rusher and wasn't only used as that with the Rams. By tools I meant more along the lines of his speed (which is perfect and needed across Bosa IMO) and shear strength, both of which trump what Hyder offered to work with.

But I stand by my opinion of Hyder winning more so with motor and hustle, cleaning up than pass rushing techniques and plans, I see maybe 2 sacks that I'd put in that category

Hope this guy takes a jump forward this year.

But he made a jump last year too.

Javon is a bad man, he's going to ruin many OLs day this year
Calling in it now....Pro Bowler this year

That would be a huge leap. I'm expecting him to show flashes of dominance this year, and for him to put it all together the following year.
A lot of things in his favor and I think he'll have an excellent year.

1). Bosa will get lots of double teams which will give JK more one on ones.

2). A full Training Camp and a year's game experience.

3). A better understanding of the defenses playbook and more coaching from Kocurek.
I don't see pro bowl yet. Too many established studs in the nfc Dline... but he will be an up and Coming star this year.
Hopefully his knees don't prove to be a recurring issue. Playing it safe now is smart for a big dude but you don't wanna hear about even minor procedures happening in the offseason
How could this happen? It's not like he had any knee issues before the draft took place, right?
