Definitely a positive development! Man if he can eat double teams and beat most G's and C's one-on-one, we'll have an excellent D-line, possibly the best.
He got a lot of double teams last year. Hopefully he can get through on some this year

I'm fine if he doesn't get through a double team, if he's anchoring against a double team and Jones or Armstead is collapsing the pocket from the other sides, we're doing great! If he's beating doubles, then he's like Chris Jones or Aaron Donald.

Thus on some situations Bosa and a healthy Ford will be lined up on the edges with Kinlaw and DJ Jones in the middle? That's goose-bumping!

Still one of my favorites:

Go Niners! James 😃

Man we getting all worked about Grant... Cohn.... saying Street is better than Kinlaw right now???

No. Over this:

THE NOT SO GOOD

1. Defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw.

Removed himself from a pass-rushing drill and spent 10 minutes squatting down and staring at grass while the rest of his teammates worked on their craft. Bizarre. Then Kinlaw didn't participate in 11 on 11s, either -- he just watched from the sideline. Kinlaw was supposed take a big leap forward this offseason, but he can't take a leap if he doesn't work.

You do realize that they are human? He could have stepped out for a multitude of reasons. Head ache, Nausea, maybe he had a nut ache? Who knows but I doubt a huge human with a knee issue would be squatting putting tremendous pressure on said knees for 10 minutes if he was having an issue with said knee.

Why are you telling me? I didn't note the observation personally. LOL

TBF, Hurd checked out too and came back later.

He could have been gassed and needed a moment and guys like he, Hurd and Ford are encouraged to check out and self monitor and take it slow.

The point is he's already been limited and he's already had so few snaps...because of the knee. It's just something that absolutely needs to monitored and reported on.

Yep.

I really don't care who tells me, the answer is simple - did they practice or not.

Yes or no.

No? Hmmm. Someone who needs practice didn't. Just like Hurd. You don't magically get better without reps if you don't get them. Isn't this the same standard we hold for Lance?

Availability is just as, if not MORE important than talent. If you're not available all the projections in the world don't matter.

Did he practice? Hmmmm
Good for Kinlaw. I'm just glad he's kicking some ass.
This is the guy I think I'm most anxious to see play this year. He's the piece that completes this Dline or the piece that holds us back.

Which BTW found his jersey at the Nike Outlet for 29.99, Nike screen print, but still worth it.

Agree.

He could be a game changer for the DLine w/a health Bosa & Ford.
Why isn't Kinlaw playing?

The dude needs reps yet no on the field. I don't get it unless his knee is f**ked.

There's no other explanation. It's his knee.

Because of his draft status he is getting treated like a vet and a core piece. So he was sitting like everyone else.

Almost the entire first team defense besides Greenlaw sat this one out.

hes been sitting out of practices from what I heard
He needs to be healthy. Let him sit. Get him some reps in the 3rd preseason game then unleash him in the regular season.
