Too funny

This is me thinking about our D-line's core/impact players all haven't really practiced or played in any games preseason for a few months or so.......(Bosa, Kinlaw, Ford)

NC a Charger fan?

Only a Chargers fan would be criticizing a Niner player for calling them soft. NC's thing against Kinlaw is weird.

Ford has been practicing for a while now and actually looking great from all accounts which is shocking to me. Only question with him is will he be healthy for the regular season…and for how long?

Bosa and Kinlaw will be fine. I wish Kinlaw got more reps in camp but it is what it is. Priority is health in the regular season. You see plenty of teams sitting their key guys who don't miss a beat once the regular season starts to worry about this now.

Pretty sure Adrian Peterson's best season in the NFL he sat out all camp and preseason after tearing his ACL.

Plus for the most part these guys know what they're doing out there…trying to destroy opposing QBs.

What? Bosa and Ford have practiced a ton!

Haha. The dude who wears crocks and who's taken 8 total snaps all pre season and has 2 injuries is calling other's soft?

You a Chargers fan? Do yourself a favor and don't worry about anything that's happening before the regular season. Kinlaw hasn't even reached week 1 of his 2nd season and fans of his own team are already crying about how hes a bust. This fanbase truly earns the nickname "Whiners".

Calm down sparky. Nobody is calling him a bust. But like the 3rd string Chargers standing next to Cohn on the sidelines looking for their next career move, mocking Garoppolo, he's the last person who should be calling anyone soft with a virtually non-existent snap count this pre season. No need to deflect to an extreme to protect him. He's a big boy in crocks. He doesn't need you.

The problem with this take is he NEEDS the snap counts to learn how to pass rush and destroy the QB. And the less he plays, the more injuries he gets thus far. In short, this has become another "COVID off season" for him and to Hero's original point, it's already becoming the next excuse for fans...like OL issues affecting Trey despite his mobility. If fans paid more attention to reality than defending, they'd be in a better, more realistic space. Kinlaw has actually had less snaps than Hurd.

Think about that for a moment.

And Hurd's my boy but I'm certainly not in his thread defending him and his low snap count this off season.

PS: Same concept for Aaron Banks. We're counting big time on players like Kinlaw and Banks...Hurd too.

So you say. I'd say you'd have more of a case for that if he wasn't dominating our OL when he did practice this offseason. Perhaps he's confident because he knows the work he put in and it's simply a matter of getting him healthy for the offseason vs having him power through an injury which can easily get worse and linger during games that matter?

You know I love you NC but your thing with Kinlaw is comical. Hurd hasn't seen the field when it matters to show us anything. We've seen Kinlaw, we know the guy needs development. Practice is a need but it's not a must. His work on technique is stuff more he needs to work on in the offseason.

Not to mention you claim Bosa has practiced a ton while saying Kinlaw has been out there less than Hurd. Kinlaw has actually been in on team drills, Nick has not. Not sure how you're saying he's been out there more than Javon.

Either way to me it's not an issue at this point. I'd rather he be healthy for week 1 than get practice reps. That goes for any player on the team, even the rookies.

I'm not sure where you're getting your pre season reports from where he's dominating the OL in the massively limited snaps he's taken thus far, but to each his own I guess.

My take is he, like Trey, and Banks and Hurd, are raw coming in and these off season and pre season snaps are critical to them being in position to not only play but to be relied upon and develop into the critical players we need to make a deep run. QB, 3T, FWR, RG...critical positions that have already proven to cost us in the past.

And right now, only Trey is getting those snaps. The rest are unavailable.

I don't even know how one could refute that let alone justify it with just a couple weeks to go.

Actually practiced for a change, and dominated the first-team offensive line during 11 on 11s. Beat Daniel Brunskill for a sack. Kinlaw is such an enigma.

^from Cohn, the day after he said he's looking like a bust because he's not practicing enough.

And you're missing the point. Do I wish Kinlaw was healthy and practicing so he could improve more and more? Of course. Do I think him practicing in camp is what's going to make or break his career? No.

I'm perfectly fine with us being sooooft and sitting guys when they're nursing any injury even if it's minor at this point in the year. I'm confident once the real games start these guys will be out there.

i get up on sunday morning and suddenly find out that NC is a chargers fan. i hate sunday mornings on the zone. remember the days when aldon smith played and we were afraid to get up and read on sunday morning what he did on saturday night?
If Baalke had drafted Kinlaw, NC would be on board.

That's probably because some Insist on bashing certain Individuals just because they we're drafted over their draft crushes..

Yeah Kinlaw wears crocs. He's also a behemoth of a man who bites squirrels. If he wants to call someone soft, nobody is calling him on it face to face.

Cute is a nice way of describing it.

Haha. TBF, everybody beats Daniel Brunskill.

We want the same thing. I'm just saying he's had about as many off season snaps as last year during a COVID off season.

And it's because of injuries. It's not about how the team is managing those issues but that the young player himself struggles getting critical snaps to allow him to grow.

You seem perfectly fine with limited snaps and growth as long as he can start week 1. I'm not. I think he, like the aforementioned players, need every snap they can get as they need massive growth esp. Kinlaw for year 2 if he's going to make a jump in the pass rush department. We don't need run defenders at 3T. We need pass rushers.
