I know it was limited and it was against the Raiders backups but I thought Kinlaw had a strong game. He had a play or two that reminded me of Buckner. He's definitely got the talent, he just needs to stay healthy.

First play he flashed on a 3 yard gain. Then pushed back 4 yards for a 4 yard gain, 1on1 thrown on his ass with one arm (6:49 2Q b/c Hoov will ask), nothing in pass rush (not many opportunities), etc. He didn't have a ton of snaps but he always hustles esp. down the line. He looks like a guy who isn't in football shape yet (nor should he be). Always active. Made it through the game healthy!

I saw this lol. Who was the guard? I wonder if he made their team.

Haha, great point! We might have to investigate.
If Bosa and Ford stay healthy, and Kinlaw can manage to get his poop in a group, #1 D in the league.

Good job citing your sources. I do recall that play and I also recall Cotton was flagged for an egregious false start. He was on Kinlaw when was essentially still coming up out of his stance. Not surprising he got thrown off balance

To be fair... you would have to investigate guards who can win their assignment with a false start. That guard got flagged on the exact play referenced.

The irony of Grants comment is that 1 on 1 he was solid and against the raiders basically won his assignment based on reading run or pass. He needs allot of help with double teams still, luckily his motor will help negate his mistakes there. But yeah, rewatched his snaps from the first half... 1 on 1's isnt where he struggles.

Any G that can throw Kinlaw on his ass with one arm is worth a false start! LMAO.
i didnt watch him specifically but i ll take a look later. My rewatch mainly focused on the CB specifically ambry thomas

but overall i remember the run D and pass rush being solid

He(67) also stonewalled Kinlaw on every pass pro rep.

Who is #67 on the Raiders?
