This. Every time I open this thread, it's like salt in the wound. Buck was reliable, productive, team leader, et. al. We kept a one year wonder and drafted a wounded duck to take Buck's place.

This is why I didn't laugh when the Raiders called the Bears about trying to trade for Khalil Mack. We all can sympathize

Nah, you can still laugh at the Raiders. Niners tried to trade for Khalil, but raiders declined. If they did, they would have Bosa instead.

This. Arthritis is up and down. One day it feels fine, the next day it hurts like a b***h. He's so young too. This will only get worse.

Buck is HOF bound and this guy is infirmary bound.

Buckner has been 1st team all pro once. I would hold off on the hall talk for now.

This.....bucks a Good player but he's not H.o.F material.

Who do you think starts at 3T? Got Jones, Street, Kerr, and AA in the inside if Givens and Kinlaw out. I suspect Street may get the start if they want AA outside 1st down.

At this point, they probably should move AA inside and start Ebukam at strong end until Kinlaw/Hurst come back.

But I don't think they will.

This. Lions are going to try and run 60 times anyhow and keep it a 9-6 type game.

lol, agree.
I need to see something this year. Yeah maybe that game last night is getting to me since Wirfs is balling out
So far has not been worth a 1st rounder.

the fact that IR is being talked about has me worried.

I think if he continues to play at this level he will at least be in the discussion. Maybe not first ballot.
Unlimited IR returns will be a huge benefit to the 49ers

Shows how much I have been paying attention. Explains why Lynch and Shannahan don't seem too torn up about players going on IR. A superplayer piggybank.

Don't understand this at all. Patrick Willis isn't a shoe-in and he was considered not just the best at his position, but practically perfection. Different position obviously but you can talk about Willis and Aaron Donald in similar ways. Buckner isn't in the same league as Donald, or Willis... or Bowman... or Justin Smith.
