He sat for so long that his femoral head poppies out of the acetabulum
Need him back immediately
Unreal….per MM . Also sounds like he's not playing this Sunday

I'm worried about Javon Kinlaw's knee. Is the team just managing a chronic condition the best it can or is there some hope of improvement? — Brian K.

He was dealing with swelling in his knee as training camp approached and that appears to be the current issue as well. It seems similar to the issue Jalen Hurd has: The 49ers can get the swelling and pain down with rest and rehabilitation, but as soon as either player has any extended action, it returns. Having said that, a couple of others — McGlinchey and Dee Ford — dealt with knee tendinitis in recent seasons and appear to be managing it this season.

Yeah we all know Defo on his own makes a defense dominant.

Just like it was in 2016-2018.

Plus look how amazing the Colts defense played with him yesterday! They won right?

Question I suppose is would you rather have DeFo or Armstead and Kinlaw, because that was really what the decision was for SF at the time. Armstead is overpaid but Kinlaw is cheap.

Let's hope he doesn't start speaking to Mosterts knee team of doctors.

But but but guys, It's not an "issue". Probably won't be bc plenty of players play thru this as we've been told. However the REALITY is he's already missing games.

It's not even that. People want to make it be that simple but it wasn't. It was a big boy business decision to move Buckner. It had more to do with money and long term franchise building versus keeping Armstead over Buckner. Adding Kinlaw was simply an after effect because the 49ers couldn't have predicted he'd be there for their pick.

End of the day I think they simply realized that as good as Buckner was the amount of money he was looking for hurt their chances of keeping guys like Kittle, Warner and Bosa long term…along with having potential to bring in someone like Trent Williams and field better depth across the board.

Long term we'll see if the decision proves to be wrong but so far it has been the right one and revisionist history will not change that. Our defense despite all the injuries last year was arguably just as good if not better than what the Colts had with Buckner. This year will be more telling since Armstead is making much more this year.

Yeah we need some NY85 and genus minimizing in here for positivity and mental health reasons.

This isn't good.

Thanks for posting Hoov.

He needs to get down to 300lbs and eliminate or cut down significantly inflamation-inducing foods such as sugars, red meat, processed foods, etc. (if these are part of his current diet of course)

Does eating squirrels cause inflammation?
So as long as he doesn't play he will be fine

Shanahan was asked if Kinlaw's injury is something that might have to be managed throughout the season.

"We're not sure. That's why we're trying to take it slow with him," Shanahan answered. "And when we have, it's gotten better. So, you've got to see how that continues to react. I think we'll be easy with him today. Hopefully, if it continues to go well today, he'll get out there more tomorrow.

"When he hurt his knee in Dallas last year, it was a pretty bad injury that he ended up going on IR. He got it cleaned up, but it still hasn't healed quite as right as we want. So, it seems like it [is better], but when he's gone, it's just started to affect him. So hopefully, taking it easy these last 10 days or so, it will start to get better, and we'll see how it goes day to day."
