The problem hasn't been when he's out there though, it's how his knee reacts after a full workload. Hoping he holds up after today and Sunday . They need him

Guess we will see how his knee holds up

Fridays are walk-throughs.

His knee was fine until he got hurt vs Dallas. It wasn't arthritis, it was a legit injury from a game. Apparently it's taken longer for big cat to get to 100%

My issue is some in here have said it's some on going thing, yet he missed one game in 3 yrs at SC and only missed two games last yr after the injury.

I think fans need to expect limited practices for him going forward. He's a massive human and will need to have a plan.

but I understand what you're saying

Yeah, that's not good either way. I've adjusted my expectations from maybe he could become Chris Jones to well, I guess he can help against the run.

Unfortunately, you don't draft an interior DL 14th overall to stop the run. You can find those guys on day 3.

I don't know if this is completely accurate, dude missed a lot of training camp and didn't participate in ANY one on one drills. If it isn't some on going thing then why should we expect his practices to be limited?

how about we wait a little bit before deciding what he is? It's week 2 of his 2nd season…all while his first season was during COVID and literally no real off season.

Lynch has because said they have a plan for him, that was going back to 2020 as well. Certain guys just don't get full practice every single week.

If he was to "replace Buckner" I at least expected him to give us close to Buckner-like snaps, even if it wasn't Buckner-like production.

But i keep moving my expectations down for this dude too.

NY85 in 2035.

"how about we wait a little bit before deciding what he is?"

Buckner is Buckner he's not on the team anymore and cost top 3 DT cash for a reason. Kin is a kid and 2yr rookie who really didn't even have a off season last yr because of Covid.

you had no expectations for him because he wasn't the position you wanted drafted lol. Not sure how any of this changes anything for you.

I mean it's common sense no?

I get it you want to be right and will jump at any chance to prove it.

let's let it play out a little before precluding something on a 23 yr old with 14 games under his belt.

let's stop pretending it's 2035

Because you don't draft a 3T at 14 immediately after getting rid of Buckner and be OK with him getting half his snaps. And that's not even talking about his "production."

Again, if he was a 5th rounder, fine. But at 14 that's a staple pick at a cornerstone position.

At this point, nobody should have any expectations for him until he gets healthy.

My expectations coming in were that he'd build off his run defense, increase his snap counts significantly esp. on 3rd downs and as a result, start developing as a pass rusher.

Isn't that what everyone was hoping for in year 2 especially with a full off season?
