Naah we still would have used him as edge or out in coverage.

Yea we just werent the right fit with him. Even if we played him inside it theres no guarantee he does as well as hes doing. It might have been similar to Amari Cooper. Just needed a change of scenery. And good for him. Hes a good guy. Its just too bad he didnt work out for us.

me either. we know he would not have done that for us. in regards to the original topic,... to sum it up. it was a terrible trade and it was a terrible pick.. lynch or kyle or whoever. those two moves i think are the single reasons why we have regressed so badly on defense.. and yet we keep people like aa and johnson.

None of this is new. Two years ago JohnnyDel broke down Solly's pass rushing from the inside and it's pretty decent. Not #3 overall good but definitely starting DT good if the rest of the line is solid.

Solly's 49er career was doomed from the start because of DeFo and AA.

This is just confirmation that our personnel dept legitimately sucks. Hitting on Kittle was pure luck

If he clogs Wilson lanes and vision on Sunday and gets a big hug on his for a safety all may be forgiven.

You posted a few clips last year where you said he flashed dominance

My bad, I meant a dominant game. He's yet to have a game where he absolutely dominates from start to finish. When is Kinlaw going to have the game where he takes over? He hasn't even come remotely close to that.

Yes, he had a few flash plays as a rookie. But it's time to start producing like the 14th overall pick.

Gotcha and I agree. Not going to lie between the knee and what I am seeing on the field, specifically lack of pass rush, I'm pretty disappointed. Was expecting him to take a big step this season and make those flash plays more of a consistent thing.

I'm still trying to be patient w/this guy... but he's beginning to remind me of TED WASHINGTON when he was here..

You mean 4x probowler and superbowl champion Ted Washington who managed to have a 17 year career?? We gave up on him too soon IMO.

I'm seeing more of a Kentwan Balmer though.

I don't remember TED being a Pro Bowler when he was w/the 49ers.. I just remember how his # was suddenly given to some guy name BRYANT YOUNG..
He needs to eat more dead rats!

To compare to Balmer is just pure hate. The Washington comp is interesting however. Spoiled by Michael Carter, just like we were spoiled by Buck, Washington never had a chance. He really took off when he left. It seems like we were magic at drafting interior Dline then.
He did well today in pass rush and against the run.
