Dunno, honest response.

I thought the same thing. Looking like another first round blunder.
Just an awful pick. They got to cute. They were staring a an excellent player at a position of extreme need (Staley retirement) and they passed. Instead they seem happy for the fact that they received a 4rd pick for moving back one spot.

This still bothers me every sunday.

For the record, I wanted him too. But he wouldn't get numbers in this crappy ass offense anyway. Dak makes him look pretty good.
I saw him out there early this past game. Can't remember him out there much more throughout. Just checked his season stats...1 tackle? I know he almost had a half sack vs. Seattle. Need much more production from him as a 1st Rounder instead of just being "a guy" there in the middle.
I haven't rewatched the game cuz I've been busy but for everyone losing their minds cuz Kinlaw didn't turn into Aaron Donald overnight do we know what the gameplan was?

Feels like we went out of our way to keep Murray in the pocket. Clogging up blocks isn't what you want out of a mid 1st round pick but just because he doesn't show up on the stat sheet doesn't mean he isn't helping the team.

Can't believe they traded Buck and chose him. I wish they would've taken Jeudy or Lamb. Thanks John Lynch brilliant move!!!

I'm losing my mind because Kinlaw's knee is probably going to prevent him from turning into half of Aaron Donald, ever.

Oh and the fact that Ceedee Lamb was there for the picking, and we chose a WR later who "perfectly fits the system" but is trending towards the second coming of Dante Pettis.
The underwhelming and disappointing draft picks are piling up.

Nobody expected Kinlaw to be Aaron Donald, but we did expect Kinlaw to be more than just a 2-down run defender--the type of run defenders you draft on day 3 and not 14th overall.

You still have the best name in here!

Ouch. Or Wirfs. He could have played G for a year and moved out to RT and saved us $10M by letting MM go.

I would have been totally fine with choosing Wirfs, in spite of wanting Lamb more. We needed WR, OL and CB help. We didnt get it.

The Kinlaw pick was a terrible pick from the jump. I understand building the trenches is important, but even after trading Buckner, I would have ranked the defensive line as the best or one of the best units on the team. The pick made zero sense from the jump.

The 9ers outsmarted themselves once again when It came down to It. We should have made the obvious pick ( Lamb ) Instead, we're stuck with Kinlaw and Aiyuk, two players who have had little Impact this season.. not good for first round picks.

Could've drafted Tom Brady. Could've drafted Patrick Mahomes. Could've drafted countless HOFers instead of busts. Playing the hindsight game is dumb. Wait at least 3 years to call someone a bust.

Either way, Kinlaw is a DT. People who expected Aaron Donald 2.0 were delusional. The travesty was letting Buckner leave in favor of Armstead. Kinlaw is just the aftermath of that decision, so everyone uses him as the punching bag. Punch Armstead for being overpaid.
