Who said this? Be specific.

You guys keep bringing up Aaron Donald, yet I can't remember seeing anyone post saying Kinlaw could be Aaron Donald 2.0.

Aaron Donald is widely considered the greatest 3technique of all time; 2.0 suggests a better version of the original. If someone believed Kinlaw would be Aaron Donald 2.0...

I thought he would be better in year 2. He's playing like he's not fully healthy or just not fully invested. :/ I admit I liked the pick at the time and it's not looking good.
Remember when Chris Simms said he was a better version of Quinnen Williams.

These examples aren't even close to similar, and you know that.

Man, I really hope he never said that. I love hindsight as much as anyone, but painfully obvious they should have paid Buckner. Period. Armstead is a load of crap, and only had the season he had because he was playing next to Buckner.
Like another posted said, bad picks are piling up.....bad early picks too.

AA is the least of our problems tbh. He played very well last week. Unlike Kinlaw, MM, Mack and Ward.
Kinlaw doesn't need to be Aaron Donald 2.0, Chris Jones, or Deforest Buckner in regards to pass rushing. But f**k's sake, at the very least he needs to be like Vita Vea--a player that isn't anything special in the box score, but when the tape is on, his presence and impact on the game is undeniable.

Speaking of Vita Vea, this play is f**king hilarious. I love selfless players that do the dirty work.

I never got the Chris Jones comp but Vita Vea production would be wonderful. Much better comp.

I haven't rewatched the game cuz I've been busy but for everyone losing their minds cuz Kinlaw didn't turn into Aaron Donald overnight do we know what the gameplan was?

Feels like we went out of our way to keep Murray in the pocket. Clogging up blocks isn't what you want out of a mid 1st round pick but just because he doesn't show up on the stat sheet doesn't mean he isn't helping the team.

I'm losing my mind because Kinlaw's knee is probably going to prevent him from turning into half of Aaron Donald, ever.

Oh and the fact that Ceedee Lamb was there for the picking, and we chose a WR later who "perfectly fits the system" but is trending towards the second coming of Dante Pettis.

You still have the best name in here!

Ouch. Or Wirfs. He could have played G for a year and moved out to RT and saved us $10M by letting MM go.

Could've drafted Tom Brady. Could've drafted Patrick Mahomes. Could've drafted countless HOFers instead of busts. Playing the hindsight game is dumb. Wait at least 3 years to call someone a bust.

Either way, Kinlaw is a DT. People who expected Aaron Donald 2.0 were delusional. The travesty was letting Buckner leave in favor of Armstead. Kinlaw is just the aftermath of that decision, so everyone uses him as the punching bag. Punch Armstead for being overpaid.

I didn't call him a bust. I apologize if I was accurate about Lamb, Wirfs and Kinlaw (so far).

You know what a broken record sounds like?

"Kinlaw, questionable, knee"

The 9ers have not just drafted a bad player, but one that suffers from a chronic knee condition. There is only one word for a player like Kinlaw, BUST.

No, he is a bust, You don't need to apologize about it.

I don't care whether Kinlaw is the aftermath of keeping Armstead instead of Buckner, but we did spend a 1st round pick on him and he is a bust.

And since people brought up Aaron Donald. Aaron Donald was drafted as the 13th overall pick and Kinlaw 14th overall pick. So, tell me why shouldn't we have expectations on Kinlaw?!

Have at it, my friend. I ain't gonna stop you.

The Kinlaw pick was a terrible pick from the jump. I understand building the trenches is important, but even after trading Buckner, I would have ranked the defensive line as the best or one of the best units on the team. The pick made zero sense from the jump.

I felt the exact same way bro. It wasn't so much the player (at that time). This was so reminiscent of the Solomon Thomas pick for me, at that time we had Buck and Armstead so the pick of Thomas made zero sense to me in the same regard. f**king stupid
I cant call him a bust yet but I forget he is out there sometimes.
