When you combine it with the decision to let go of Bucker (who was never injured I might add), yeah, bad look.
Just a terrible decision by the FO to not only trade DeFo but to draft a guy with an injury history who at his best is "above average" and at his worst is ineffective or injured all the time.

The FO is having way too many swings and misses.

I'm really starting to have a strong hate for the word "potential"

You also said George Kittle is too soft for the NFL. So excuse everyone for not taking your word

Even if he never does anything ever again. He's had an all-pro career and even broke a record for receiving yards for his position, and considering the average NFL career is about 3 years. No, you were dead wrong.

Hmmmm wonder who NC fired this shot at

A piper is down. I repeat, a piper is down!

On the real though, this absolutely sucks ass.
I do not understand the fascination behind using high draft picks on players with injuries. It is a roll of the dice that the 49ers have lost time and time again. We saw our former GM do this, and eventually get fired for it, and now it seems like Lynch and Shanahan are doing the same exact thing. Roll the dice to use high picks on players who may or may not pan out due to injury.

I went back to the first page of this thread to see what the concerns were on draft day, and many Webzone members were pointing out the knee issue. Which means the front office must have known about the knee issues and still chose to spend a high pick on him anyway in the hopes he would pan out.

Stupid move. I mean, I hope Javon can recover. But it seems like he needs some sort of surgery. And is it the type of surgery he can recover from?

It's a poverty franchise tbph. They always trying to save money. Trading Buckner and drafting this dude to replace should tell you all you need to know. Winning isn't the #1 priority.

I know, that's who I wanted. Lucky for him we didn't draft him he'd be in shanny's dog house.
