Im scared he won't. If he does I think he will be a great player. Top 5 or 10 DT. But I have no faith in his knees.

Ya hes a freak athlete. But when you're that much of a freak athlete, that can also work against you. when you're that damn big, and already have knee issues, idk how it gets better.

Same way it was good for McKinnon. Get paid millions of dollars to do absolutely nothing. As far as his career, it won't get better. That s**ts over.

Yeah, I'm worried it's a chronic injury - no surgery is going to help it.

lynch kyle whoever wanted him.. you are a fools idea of a fool. you dump a leader and elite player like buckner then you think you have to pick someone early to justify the move.. this guy had red flags and bad knees and you still went ahead. this was the downfall of our team. when the niners take a bad pick. we hear their defenders. well we must trust kyle and lynch.. obviously there was no one else that we could have picked that was better than the pick we made..... this is a shining example of total b******t and total ineptness on kyle and lynch.. anyone who thinks this guy will ever play for us again is as foolish as lynch and kyle..... stupid motherf**kers. there is no way to spin this but i am sure some of the bathwater drinkers will try...... i am sure we will hear,,,, lets let him get surgery and he will be good as gold next year,,, this guy will never play a down for us again.. jesus christ

Yea that's what pisses me off the most, they think they can out think everyone and gamble on dumb s**t like this, you got a proven nose in Buckner and got full of yourself and thought you could replace him so easy, pompous move and it backfired in the worse way
I swear this draft and beyond they better go cb,dline and wr over and over again with a receiving TE sprinkled in. I better not get 1 f**king oline or rb pick from these idiots. They should've added dline in the draft as well

HAD Lynch only followed the FA players I wanted him to sign... I wanted the team to sign Trey Henderson (Saints now Bengals) as a free agent.. but NOOOOO, Lynch, Shanny and the rest of their followers thought I was DRUNK ... look how good the guy is now.. and will only get better !!

Cybernetic bionic implants bro!

They drafted Thomas and Kinlaw and got rid of Buck. Scared at who they might pick next.

Damn this regime sucks
According to Peter King, we have the same scout team (Adam Peters exception) that Baalke had. If that's true, someone needs to be fired for allowing that.

Defo's stats may not show it but he was effective day 1, much more than Arik. We traded away one of our team leaders, per Joe Staley, and it shows. We struck out on Kinlaw, plain and simple. Imagine how much more dominant Bosa would be this year with Defo.

I'll never believe Lynch or Shanny's draft hype ever again. They suck at it; especially last year. I wish they'd hit on day 1 and 2 like they do in the later rounds. They must fix this. The Bosa pick was a no brainer....

I haven't read this but if true it's probably a Paraag decision.
The whole scouting staff needs to be fired asap

I recall reading they were annoyed Lynch never listened to their input. I wouldn't be surprised if Lynch spends all his time on rounds 1-3 and defers to scouts on later round picks. That explains why the top picks are poo poo and we have some later round gems.

Gotta remember Lynch had no experience in a FO in any capacity before he was hired. He is learning one of the highest level positions on the job.

Scouts don't draft, GMs do and if your "becoming comfortable" with a medical file most of the league has flagged, you better have some serious inside medical knowledge or a be a damn good orthopedic doc yourself.

Agreed.

You'd think that for a team that has suffered historic injuries that the personnel dept. would be circumspect about spending high picks on players with injury flags. Yet that's exactly what we did with Kinlaw, who I now have as a momentous bust.
I saw that Kevin Givens Practice window is open. Chicago I don't believe will be that tough...if he can make it back for the Cardinals, I really think Kevin Givens getting more time will fill in for Kinlaw very well. He's proven to be a good run stopper and makes the occassional big play. Excited to have him back.

And most of the league flagged both knees. I mean it's like wow, really?
that is what happens when you have a inept gm trying to do damage control after letting go of a great player and leader
