how the f**k were they letting him role out there with a bae ACL?

This is actually good news. They know what it was and how to fix it

Nick Bosa is Nick Bosa.

Javon Kinlaw is going to miss another offseason in 2022. The most important time for him to improve will be missed again. Here's to his breakout season in 2023, right?!

How much would an injury settlement cost?
ACL reconstruction? Jeez......from the preseason 'I have no injury' to reconstruction. My expectations are now at zero, and anything positive from now on is.....positive....I guess.
ACL Reconstruction sounds pretty bad. For those that know, is it as bad as it sounds? The statement says they expect a full recovery and that he'll be playing in 2022.

My thoughts in bullet-form:
  • Kinlaw was raw as a rookie, but showed flashes.
  • Kinlaw appeared to be improved this year, but it was a small sample size. We seem to miss him in run defense.
  • Draft picks are expected to be long-term investments. He certainly has time, but so far there hasn't been a lot of ROI.
  • It's very unfair to take this viewpoint, at the end of the day, he was drafted to be DeForest Buckner's replacement.
  • Disappointing development. Certainly, he can come in in Year 3 and be a contributor, but very disappointing.
Hopefully this helps with the knee issues he's had.

Shocking. i bet they had this guy do the surgery lol

Good news! His ACL wasn't torn, just rapidly disintegrating.

Lol!!!
Bad news for this year, but hopefully resolves the issue moving forward.

Kinlaw will be put on PUP to start the year and can be activated when the inevitable wave of injuries hit in 2022.

He won't take up a roster spot for at least the first month of the season, so at least there's that.

For as young as he is, to be having chronic inflammation and at his size, yeah I'm not seeing a happy ending to this story.
It's not cap savings when your rookies only contribute a quarter or third of their rookie contract years. Might as well pay a vet 2-3x as much and have them fully contribute.
He's pretty much damaged goods at this point. Another first round bust from Shanny/Lynch. At least we have no first round pick to waste next year.
What a disaster lol
Bummer.

Ready for training camp my ass. We'll be lucky if he plays at all next year. See one Hurd, Jalen.
