Yup. Could be a blessing in disguise that we got that surgery early in his career. He seems like a hardworking, no nonsense kind of guy. I'm sure he is working his ass off and I believe he is in the facility training as well.

Isn't part of his knee problem ahh what's the word? Like severe arthritis or the like? I don't think that gets better. It's sort of set in isn't it?

I do have hope that Kinlaw is, or will become, a workout warrior like a Frank Gore. A well conditioned athlete will have less injuries (Rice and Frank Gore are examples). The knee injury happened on astro-turf
in the Dallas game. They should
outlaw astroturf!
They, I believe, had hoped it would be something he can just rehab without an operation, but it never really healed after the Dallas game and he never was really pain free. Then I believe they went in an did an arthroscopy (or some minimally invasive procedure - or it could have been more MRI's ) and the fact that he was still in pain after almost a year - they decided to operate and found out much more about the injury when they did. Knee injuries nowadays aren't career enders and like Bosas father back in Miami, the ligaments they replace them with (I believe from cadavers) can actually make them better than new - defer to PasoDoc here.
On whether Kinlaw can replace DJ Jones, I'm going on a limb here and rely on Kocureck to develop him into a monster like Deforest. He's done magic with retreads like Arden Key, Willis, Omenihu, and Ebukam -- so I'm hoping he can replicate that with a much more talented and physically gifted Kinlaw.
