What's wrong now?

Where do you want to start? Late to get in his stance; false steps with both feet; stands right up; literally falls on his face and doesn't even bother to try to trip the QB. Not sure if he's still injured or what, but I'm noticing plays where he seems to be mentally checked out.

Thanks for your insight bro

From what I saw, this play is atypical of his play yesterday. What I saw was him using up double teams and being around the ball carrier much of the time.

We need to remember this guy has seen very little PT. With more time, he will read plays better and use his strength to greater advantage.

His build reminds me of Justin Simmons of the Titans. Simmons is a bull. Kinlaw flashed a few moments like that in the past. He just needs to stay healthy and gain confidence and experience.

Don't you tease me with the thought of having Simmons next to Bosa and AA.

He said "build". That's the only thing that has been impressive about Kinlaw

I'd say he's faster off the ball than Armstead.

Being first off the ball is not always desirable. In AA's case, he is usually getting double-teamed. Hence, if he pauses just a bit, he can detect which way the blockers are going to slant and counter it.

That having been said, I have often seen him get off very quickly. Usually, it is when it appears he will not be double-teamed.

Just my observations...
He's always had the faster jump, sometimes too early.. but like you said he trying different methods and tricks depending what is going on in front of him

Pretty ineffective on the field in this video. And at 2:44 is where the still is from. No double team and way late off of the snap.

He's not terrible like some think, but he's also not more than serviceable most of the time. If he was on any other team, our fans would be crapping on him regularly.

His play last week on the goal line was fantastic, BTW. He also seems like a good dude.

In the entire NFL?

Or on the NFL's best defense?

Because context is everything.

Is anyone thinking anything other than niners? hope not.

Regardless of how he played for the rest of the game, this play is pretty funny.

Stunts too. Need a slight delay off the snap.

Love it. Hope he finds consistency starting on Saturday. He could make a huge impact if so.

my hope is that he puts it together in time like armstead. i think people get spoiled when we used to have someone like defo who was an immediate contributor who was an iron man and on top of that, was traded for picks (which we used on kinlaw)

It's disappointing that he's not playing at a higher level, considering he has Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead right next to him.

But it is what it is. He was a raw prospect coming out, and injuries have stunted his development. Hopefully he's just a late bloomer and he's able to develop into a more consistent contributor.
Kinlaw this is your "break out" party opportunity. Wreak havoc with these Seaclucks and cause a butt fumble or 2 or 3. Please?
We need to start considering trading The Big Waist !!!
