If he just needed more time, maybe he is the next Jimmie Ward. Give him a 2-3 year team friendly deal with incentives. But we still must draft 2 more interior guys. JH and AA are getting older and it really seems like they don't have the same amount of gas in the tank they used to.

Jimmie Ward was good from the start, he was just always injured. Kinlaw has been bad from the start and is always injured. Like Hero said, the dude has a splash play here and there, but can't string together any consistency. That said, hopefully he balls out at the Super Bowl and earns himself a decent contract somewhere.

Yeahhhhh... Ward got destroyed early on. I remember Brandon Marshall annihilating him for 3 touchdowns in one game.

Now, he improved when he had stints of health, but this is the first year Kinlaw has been healthy.

I remember that game. It was the bears and Brandon Marshall took ward to back of the shed

That was a bad game. Just one. I remember people ripping Fangio for leaving Ward on Marshall one on one. But again, it was a single game.

I keep reading he has had a very good playoffs and elevated his play. I wish we could get this from others like Young etc.

I highly doubt we retain him, but the regime does seem to like him, his work ethic etc, he simply wasn't healthy. I have no idea what his market will be and you know we will be focused on others first like Aiyuk etc to gauge the cap, but If we did make an offer and it wasn't terribly less than any other offer he has he may stay. I still doubt that happens.

Yeah it was the second game of his rookie season and I believe his first start, against a receiver coming off a 1500 yard season...
I don't trust PFF at all, but here you go. For Kinlaw, certainly small sample size.

Hope he wins.
He playing harder because his contract is up. Wonderi what happens if he gets a multi year deal with a decent guarantee?

I would rather spend that money on another big based body like Ridgeway from last year, or DJ who we had and went to Denver. We need a large immovable force down the middle.

I agree - he's NOT worth a big contract and I'd rather spend the $$ elsewhere.

Agree, he knows he's a free agent after this game, and he's basically auditioning for a job next year right now on the biggest stage in the world.
Kinlaw can help us in the Superbowl v the run

He is only now just for filling his potential.

I think we need Kinlaw to eat blockers in the middle in order to win. I have been very hard on this guy this season, but i see good signs lately. JAVON IF YOU ARE READING THIS, PLAY YOUR BEST GAME EVER AND WE'RE ALL GOOD.
He can really make it hard for the opposition guards.

Wouldnt be surprised if he goes to Seattle with them hiring the Baltimore DC as their head coach.

I've always wondered, what if Kinlaw goes to Seattle or Las Vegas and becomes Chris Jones by the time he's 28

Some guys take a little longer to develop, but time is not on your side in the NFL

We've stuck by Kinlaw and given him chances. I think if we give him a fair offer, he should stay and keep working under Kocurek. If it doesn't work out, OK, but I'd give him at least a two year deal to see if he can become more than a reserve.
