Kinlaw needs to take into consideration how the 49ers have worked with him through his injury plagued career and lack luster play. To me if I were the 49ers I would definitely not over spend on this dude.
This dude did didley squat!

Uh….thats why you don't give him a fat deal.

BTW…did he miss a game this year?

He didn't and his surgeon said this year good or bad will be what we should expect going forward.

This is a tough one but if I'm him I'm taking the highest bidder.
He's an injury waiting to happen.

bye-Bye.
My understanding is he played very well in the playoffs and SB. I know he blew up a 3rd down run and caused a punt. Maybe even twice.

His knees won't hold up. He has a degenerative condition. Never should have drafted him that high.

Let him walk. No pun intended.

If he wants to stay on a super cheap deal, sure. But I think he will want more than what we will offer.

He didn't miss a game but that doesn't mean his knee magically healed. Odds are he'll miss plenty of games going forward.

Also, maybe its a coincidence, but he was finally able to play in a contract year....

Yeah I would imagine every team will approach him with caution. He's a rotational piece at most until he can prove healthy with an increased work load etc.

He's played a lot better the last 2 games.

The jury is still out and this is his moment to win or lose.

Hope he wins.
He playing harder because his contract is up. Wonderi what happens if he gets a multi year deal with a decent guarantee?

I would rather spend that money on another big based body like Ridgeway from last year, or DJ who we had and went to Denver. We need a large immovable force down the middle.

I agree - he's NOT worth a big contract and I'd rather spend the $$ elsewhere.
Nobody is saying give him a big contract

He played just well enough to price himself out of the 49ers' range. He's Thomas 2.0. Honestly, I'd rather bring Thomas back on a much cheaper deal.

Thomas is/was a tweener. Not a good comparison. This dude is a true DT

He's not good at the run. Not good at the pass either. He's just ok and never lived up to his first round pick. If he's cheap sign him for a prove it deal. We need another DJ Jones or someone to anchor the middle of the run D.
He'll keep getting injured like the guy we got from KC.

causing a punt is considered bad?

Yup. Let him go.
Kinlaw had a great year. He is a real run stopper.

We have different definitions of "great"

Time to let him go and draft a guy to develop and maybe K Davis can fill a rotation role
Will see him in Seattle
