They've done it before...Buckner after the last SB loss and a big contract extension for AA.

Is the goal of your idea to make the team significantly worse?

Oh I'm not saying they SHOULD do this. What we've seen this braintrust do is make major subtractions, additions...moves in general that allow the team flexibility to keep the team competitive but also keep the window for winning open longer. I'm pretty sure we all HATED the Buckner trade...Buckner > AA...has been and still is. That said, AA overall has been solid for this team and did allow for us to make other moves.

Not arguing that this is a good idea - curious if anyone else could see such a move like this happening?

I can't see AA having huge demand or anything worthwhile in return. Aside that pure business perspective, he's a team leader in the locker room everyone loves.

I am worried about his legs and lasting a full season.

AA deal isn't going to be very appealing for a team

Kinlaw really need to move on. Another poor first pick by the team. AA I like but he is not reliable anymore and makes way too much $$. Still miss Buckner.
Trade AA and resign Kinlaw? Did 9moon change his name?

I would not be opposed to re signing Kinlaw. But if his deal needs anybody to be cut or traded for cap room, then it should not happen.
2yr $3.5m per year i think is the going rate for rotational DT.

Would also trade AA too, then sign DJ Reader to pair with Hargrave.

Just like Deebo I don't think he is tradeable because of his contract and the dead cap money. I wouldn't be shocked if AA is cut post june 1st though. I think they save $18 Million if Armstead is cut post June 1st.

So trade AA for nothing, take a 20 mil cap hit, and then spend extra money another player that we don't have? Interesting
AA is probably toast

TRADE ANNYTHINGBUTGOOD Armstead for two Firsts and AJ GREEN and resign KinLAWandOrder. Then TRADE Green, DEEVAH, and 2 firsts for MYLES GARRETT AND JASON GARRETT

Thats Grant Cohn logic. Trade away every star we have over 28 because Walsh once said something about getting rid of a player a year early despite Walsh not having to deal with cap or free agency issues.

Grant wants us to get rid of 5 legit starters. Lets create more holes to fill!!!
