Why would any team do that?

I think most teams will view him as a backup/rotational player. Nobody with a brain is overpaying for that.

No, he wants to be like his dad, Lowell Cohn. Lowell used to print all kinds of trash about the 49ers during his days at the Comical. One of his best trash takes? Cut Joe Montana. After the 1986 season. So, Grant is doing his best "dad" immitation.

With the AA cut...I feel like the last few pages worth a revisit.

Not sure if Kinlaw comes back but with 49ers moving on from AA...means there is a Starting DT spot open and the Niners are going to want to go "Budget-Friendly"...either Kinlaw OR a cheaper FA (will DJ Jones be cut?) or a RD1 or RD2 pick. Probably a combo.
