Kinlaw has tendonitis too
our run defense was f**king TRASH last year. D's biggest weakness

Dj is a nose guard

Thanks for the reply. Buckner was a damn good football player, but you pointed out that his skill set wasn't necessarily perfect for the 3t in this D. How does Kinlaw do it that regard? Sorry if the question is repetitive.

No worries. Kinlaw is twitchier and a bit more explosive than Buckner. He's the type of athlete that transcends scheme.

Even tho Kinlaw and Buckner are built similarly, their playstyles are very different. Buckner was a bit more handsy, methodical, and technical. Kinlaw is more of a brute--explosive and violent. Almost Cowboyish.

D got this team to the superbowl and it's now it's signature. Up to Kinlaw now to prove he is worth it.
Okay, it's wearing off.

I guess its time to get behind our new Niner.

I hope it works.

Nah fam he got them redshirts
Hurd and Taylor

Deep receiver draft. I bet Shanny likes some wideout more than any of the WR's that were getting all the run, and hopes to still get him.

Mims????

Not to mention, starting means nothing in a system that wants to constantly rotate players.

The guy from SI put it well in saying that our offensive scheme needs route runners not freaks which can be found in rounds 2-4 but our defensive scheme is the polar opposite and needs that athletic talent on the D line to be successful. Pretty clear they consider Solly a universal backup and wanted more inside pass rush. Buc was amazing and gonna be missed but he wasnt his best self in the one gap scheme. Watching his game against Bama, they took notice of where he was on every play and adjusted their schemes accordingly.

I haven't watched any tape on Kinlaw, but what pro would you compare him too? He seems pretty lean, maybe a poor mans Aaron Donald?

I think he was up around 340 at one point and still didn't look that fat. He's tightened up his conditioning a lot.
Kinlaw was likely one of the 6 foundational pieces that Lynch talked about.
