I also like the idea of Woerner replacing Juice in that H-Back type role he plays in the offense lining up in the backfield and offensive line. Dwelley was not a very good blocker for us and our running attack suffered at times for it. But I think we shouldn't get too ahead of ourselves on #89 until he's played a full season's worth of games.

100%. FB is a mentality and a mentality both Kittle and Woerner share. W would certainly be ideal to cross train especially given he'll already be the Levine Toilolo 2.0 blocker.

Josh Hokit will probably replace juice next season.

That is another player with a lot of promising talent.

Hokit? This one has passed me by, I shall watch out for him. That being said, I think Juice is here for the duration, cap permitting. He is just too fundamental to our O.

Yeah, he won't make the 53 but Kyle is found of him this off season for the way he stepped up. Might be an option next year if they can't resign Juice.

I really don't wanna lose juice unless Kyle flat out thinks this Hokit kid is the truth. I don't think a team will pay Juice what we paid him in 17' and I don't think he will get that type of contract again. For the right price and if kyle still wants him I think he stays for a team friendly deal. Just don't see Juice wanting to leave unless a team goes crazy for a full back which is rare these days

If we get #6 Lombardi I can see Juszczyk going off to greener pastures in some bottom feeding team that overbids for his services next year. If Hokit can do well on the practice squad and plug in and do well if Juszczyk gets a ding and has to sit out a game or two (like last year with Dwelly stepping in) I can see Kyle staying with Hokit and not really trying to keep Juszczyk on the team. It would save us a ton of cap space to sign guys like Trent and Sherman.

Well he didn't look as fluid as that other rookie receiver, Harrell, And not nearly as limber or fast in the pass game as the others on the squad. Looks stiff. But obviously a very good blocker; and that's what he was brought in to do primarily. And be a sneaky receiver when no one is expecting him to be.

So it's all good.
I imagine he will come in on obvious running downs for weeks, then play action.....

I want to see Kittle reed and Warner on 3rd and short. I'd like to see how creative Kyle can be with this kind of three TE offense. With either Kittle or Woerner possibly helping the OLine on 3rd and Longs and Jordan going deep, that should solve a part of our pass protection woes.
Game time.
REST Kittles and lets see what we have on this team !!
Goat
i feel like this is a good week for kyle to feature woerner on a few chunk plays
One of the bummers about not having at least one or two preseason games is we haven't really had a chance to see this guy play much other than blocking. I want to see how he looks catching passes and having a little bit of open space around him.
